Johansson has double-digit size to thank for several major acting roles, including Black Widow in the MCU. He revealed this to Stylist in an interview about her exercise plan for an ideal body. During the interview, the 38-year-old stated that exercise is just as important to his “mental well-being” as it is to his physical body.

The “Ghost in the Shell” actress works out up to “four days a week” and is particularly fond of Pilates. She says, “I’ve been doing Pilates for the last eight years or so, and I find it amazing.” Johansson, who once focused on “just lifting weights,” replaced that with Pilates. He realized that it was better for his body and “recovery” at his age.

Johansson added, per Daily Mail“I thought it was just getting older and my body changing, but Pilates really helped me feel better in every way. I did classes with a few different instructors, and I’ve incorporated some weight lifting a little more. I feel like I’m better now because of Pilates.”

Scarlett Johansson Struggled With Acne As A Teen

Johansson’s dedication to a healthy body came after her struggle with acne as a teenager. In her interview with the publication, she recalled “painful memories” of struggling with self-esteem issues and acne.

Johansson shared, “I’ve struggled with acne forever. My brother actually just showed me a photo of me at a family party when I was maybe 19 or 20, and the quality of my skin was completely different.”

The actress still gets triggered by looking at old photos of herself even though she now has better skin. She remembers showing up on a movie set wearing concealer, “even though someone wanted to put makeup on my face.”

The “Endgame” actor also recalled receiving bogus skin care advice. People will tell him to wash his face to avoid acne. However, this never managed to solve the problem.

“It’s all very negative – and also incorrect,” Johansson said.

She would use recommended skin care products that never worked on her face. The actress stated, “At that time, I was using every product that I was prescribed and that I saw in the media. I would go through a cycle of drying acne and then having all this redness and irritation. It’s a never-ending cycle.”

She eventually stopped using harsh products and “started moisturizing” for skin that was “very different” “within a week.”

She Started Her Own Skincare Brand

Johansson says, “It’s funny, because when I tell my friends that I’m starting a skin care line they’re like, ‘Finally!’” She adds, “So for them, it’s [always on the cards for me].”

“That B2b [business to business] space is a completely different industry for me, and it’s challenging but also very rewarding.”

The actress noted that identifying her basics for a partner was a “game changer” for her relationship. She and Jost, an actor and writer on “Saturday Night Live,” married in 2020 and have a son, Cosmo. Johansson also has a daughter, Rose, with ex-partner Romain Dauriac.
