Sean Hannity has officially moved to Florida.
The Fox News host first made the announcement on his radio show on Tuesday, noting that he was “broadcasting now from my new home in the free state of Florida.”
“If anyone has been listening to this program for a long time, has been threatening to do this for a long time now, but we are now starting our first broadcast about my new home, and that is in the free state of Florida. I’m out. I am ready. I’m done. New York, New York, goodbye. Florida, Florida, if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. But it’s great to be here,” Hannity said.
Hannity’s action follows what many are calling the “blue state migration” with thousands of citizens moving from blue states like California and New York to more red states like Florida and Texas.
Those who moved to red states cited reasons such as the lower cost of living or a desire to move to a safer area.
Hannity also pointed to left-leaning policies for his move from New York and boasted about Florida Republican leaders like Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“And finally, for the first time that I can think of in my adult life, I actually have a representative in the state that I live in that shares my values. I have a governor named Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Rick Scott. So I feel better about it,” Hannity said.

He added, “And I’m not going to go through the reasons why, how it came about, because obviously this migration out of blue states with high taxes, burdensome regulations, high crime, terrible school districts is real. And if anything, I’m probably late and behind the curve and many others have already made a move.”
According to the US Census Bureau, Florida saw one of the largest population increases in July with about 365,00 people, or 1.6% of its population, moving permanently to the Sunshine State.
Meanwhile, New York saw about 102,000 people move, the highest gross population decline in the country.
