During a candid conversation with Penn, 63, praised Perry for discussing his substance abuse struggles, labeling him a “talented man.” She said: “A talented man. I can’t claim to know him well, but I like him very much.”

Describing a recent encounter at the Los Angeles airport, the “Mystic Rivers” actor said, per Daily Mail: “I saw him quite recently, and we were both on a flight out of the Los Angeles airport, and I complimented him on what I knew about his book.”
