Gomez has had many associations throughout her career with certain famous faces, some of which have weathered several storms.
Recently, The Blast has posted the latest news regarding Gomez’s relationship with Hailey Bieber and Britney Spears.
Gomez’s relationship with Bieber (née Baldwin) has largely been shaped, carved, and defined by the press and social media rather than through actual interaction between the two.
The duo are famously at odds with each other over a looming third figure, Justin Bieber, Gomez’s ex-boyfriend from 2011 to 2018. Gomez and Bieber have spent much of the last four years trying to side-step the public’s fascination with the idea of a feud. which does not exist.
That is- until recently.
We discuss Gomez’s recent and very rare speech about their association; Gomez’s statement follows a widely circulated photo of the two of them from last month, an action that may have been the most vocal statement yet about their relationship.
Gomez clarified that the photo was “not a thing” in an interview with Vulture.
Bieber memorably offered his perspective on his relationship with Gomez in an interview on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in September.
“It’s all respect, it’s all love…” Bieber insisted.
Gomez also had relationships with some of the biggest pop stars of the last century, one of which we’ll talk about later, and the other is Britney Spears.
Gomez famously attended Spears’ wedding to Sam Asghari in June but recently, Spears seems to have a bone to pick with her fellow singer.
The “Early Mornin'” singer took to Instagram, a platform known for expressing her thoughts and feelings fully, and shared her thoughts on the hypocrisy of women who criticize other women who like to leave little to the imagination.
After fans and followers began to speculate Spears spoke about Gomez who had discussed her desire not to see people’s dead bodies on Instagram but would rather know what’s inside in her 2016 American Music Awards acceptance speech.
Spears would later address the speculation she spoke about Gomez in her now-deleted Instagram post. His apology was met with criticism; many fans believed it to be “unapologetic.”

Sure, many friendships go through difficult phases, but there are also friendships that come easily no matter what.
Gomez famously remained close to Taylor Swift for over a decade, their friendship spanning countless boyfriends and spanning many, many eras of Swift’s career.
The two took social media by storm earlier this year with sweet photos from Gomez’s 30th birthday celebration!
Gomez celebrated Swift long after the big event had passed and all the glitter on the floor had been emptied after the party. He delved deeper into their friendship with Rolling Stone, expressing how important Swift was in his life.
“I never fit in with a bunch of cool girls who were celebrities. My only friend in the industry is Taylor [Swift]…”
Swift’s influence on Gomez’s life was stronger than the insecurities that fame inspired.
She continued, “so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong,” Gomez said of her celebrity friend. “I feel the presence of everyone around me living a full life. I have this position, and I’m very happy, but… do I? Do these materialistic things make me happy?” he continued.
“My Mind & Me” will be available to stream on November 4.
