Mary Fitzgerald had to relive her experience with a miscarriage after the seventh season of “Selling Sunset”.
After a few days of all those feelings returning, the actress opened up about her and her husband Romain Bonnet’s current efforts to have a baby and how she handled the difficult miscarriage. Fitzgerald and Bonnet said “I Do” in a secret civil wedding five years ago, just before filming began on the hit Netflix series, and have been going strong ever since.

Fitzgerald gave a quick update on how she and Bonnet are navigating life post-miscarriage as she talked about the 7th season of her Netflix show “Selling Sunset” and the bitter memories she now has to deal with.
“It’s not my favorite season so far. I think it was a good season, just for me personally, not so much. Reviving everything is not the easiest thing to do, but here we are.” the actor shared. Of her recent miscarriage, she said:
“Well, I think we’ve done better, you know, just healed a little bit more. But it’s hard to watch it again and relive all those emotions. It’s not an easy thing to do.”

She shared the heartbreaking news in an Instagram video in March and added that she and Bonnet had gone to Bali and got pregnant, but things didn’t go as planned. Fitzgerald revealed that she had to undergo surgery following the development of an infection in her womb and added:
“So, I had to undergo surgery for that. I think the only reason why I stayed silent for so long, and the reason why I’m speaking up now, is because I realize how common this is and how many people go through it.”
The “Cougar Town” actress, however, expressed her desire to try for another pregnancy and shared that she underwent an MRI after a septic miscarriage, which led to the detection of an abnormality in her uterus. Elaborating further, the reality star said:
“It’s called a unicornuate uterus, and it will make things more complicated. I can still bring because I have my son, but it will make things difficult, so we have to see.”

“I think he kind of likes the idea, but it doesn’t really affect him. He lives, he’s actually in Dubai now. He was in the army and was stationed in Dubai for six months, and then he was going back to Nevada after that.”

The enviable couple met while inspecting the house. According to the actor, “Romain flew out to look at some houses and I (Fitzgerald) was his agent.” Fitzgerald continued that they did it on the spot, and it also coincided with his move to LA, where he was living at the time.
Despite the 12-year age difference between the lovebirds, the couple took it a step further by tying the knot in a low-key ceremony in March 2018. In fact, the couple were already married before Bonnet got down on one knee at the end of the first season of “Selling the Sunset,” but kept it a secret . According to their representative:
“They choose not to tell any of their friends or family, because they are still trying to see if their relationship will work out in the long run. In their minds, they don’t get married properly until the wedding is filmed during the show.”
By February 2019, the newlyweds flew to France to meet the Bonnet family. He then replaced the moissanite engagement ring he had initially given the actress with a natural diamond in April of the same year. They also had a more elaborate wedding on October 12, 2019, which they both described as “incredible.”
Fitzgerald and Bonnet became new homeowners in January 2021. In December 2022, the actress shared that they were getting ready to freeze their embryos because they didn’t want to miss out on having a baby in the future.
However, by December 2022, US Weekly shared that the couple chose to try naturally because they were unable to finalize their embryo freezing. “We did one round of embryo freezing, it didn’t work. But I thought [Selling Sunset] season 6, you will see why, what happened. We couldn’t solve it, so now we just try naturally,” said the child’s mother.
