We have learned that the famous actress will join the cast of ‘DWTS’ where she will battle it out with other celebrities for a reality dance tournament. Surprisingly, Blair would take up serious work while still suffering from the disease.

In October 2018, Blair revealed she had been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, after suffering from what she believed to be a pinched nerve or another disease altogether. Unfortunately, he was eventually told the problem was more serious.

A source close to the show told The Blast, Selma will join Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son — Joseph Baena — and ‘RHONJ’ star Teresa Guidice on the dance floor. Also, country star Jessie James Decker will join the cast.

As we reported, Blair raised awareness of her condition and MS, in a documentary called, “Introducing, Selma Blair” which showcased everything she had to deal with including the enormous loss of movement in her legs that affected her walking and the loss of her ability to speak.

“It was a very difficult time in my life. People don’t say how painful it is, emotionally, it can be proof that you’re not well. But I want to tell the truth about MS. It’s important to me that people see what it’s like to live with the disease chronic,” he told People.

Interestingly, Selma was recently photographed using a walking stick — something she calls her “dance partner.”

“Movement has been very important to me throughout my life. I was a gymnast. I always wanted to be a dancer, but I never had any talent, never took lessons, and then my movement suffered,” she told Harper’s Bazar. Adding, “But then I found the cane and realized how much I could handle it and how much coordination I still had, despite certain distractions. That set me free.”

In the documentary, Blair outlines the treatment for the disease, including several rounds of chemotherapy and even undergoing a stem cell transplant that has put her MS in remission.
