“I’ve been monitored … I had an MRI and the results came back, and it all adds up, I can’t continue in the competition,” Blair told her dance partner Sasha Farber in her taped piece posted before she took the dance floor for the last time on Monday night.
The ballroom was filled with emotion, including from her partner, Farber, who was clearly holding back tears. Now, the “Dancing With the Star” pro took to social media to open up about how much Blair means to him.

The “Dancing With the Stars” pro got emotional after Blair told her about her MRI results, which led to her departure from the show. The two danced one last time, both in tears, as they received perfect scores to end their journey together.
“I don’t even know where to start,” Farber began. “This is the darkest year of my life, and I reflect to finally see joy and light, the first day I held your hand and taught you your first step. You have taught me a lot about myself and the things that are very important in life . You have inspired me and the whole world.”
Farber continued, “This journey has been one for the record books, there hasn’t been a day where you haven’t given it your all, you’ve shown so much dedication and determination. I’m always grateful for you and I’ll always have you back, you’re a shining star and my champion @selmablair @dancingwiththestars #family.”
Selma Blair danced her last dance on “Dancing With the Stars'” “Most Memorable Year” last night. She received all 10s from the judges for her waltz to “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Andra Day.

Selma Blair Speaks Out About Chronic Illness

Selma Blair first announced her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2018, but didn’t let it stop her from achieving her goals or dreams.
“With a chronic illness, you have special considerations and my body definitely took a beating,” added Blair, explaining the decision to leave the competition reality show. “It’s too much for the safety of my bones, there’s just intensive bone trauma and inflammation between the tear and the tear so I could do a lot of damage which, of course, I don’t want.”
“Dancing With the Stars” continues tonight, October 19, as the stars dance to the “Prom Night” theme. The episode will air live on Disney+.
