Sen. Marsha Blackburn demands subpoena for Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘Lolita Express’ flight logs

Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) called on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday to issue a subpoena against Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, with the goal of obtaining a list of passengers who boarded the convicted sex offender’s heinous plane.

Blackburn, 71, made the claim during Senate hearings related to the authorization of subpoenas for Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas as part of an ethics investigation that the Tennessee Republican criticized as “hypocritical.”

The senator argued that the American people would be better served knowing more about potential participants in Epstein’s “appalling behavior.”

“And since we’re in the business of issuing subpoenas now, here are a few more I’ve filed. A subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate to provide flight logs for his private plane,” Blackburn said. “Given the many allegations of human trafficking and abuse surrounding Mr. Epstein, we need to identify all those who may have participated in his appalling conduct.”

The trial stalled, with no subpoenas authorized, following Blackburn’s claim and opposition to the Supreme Court suit from other Republicans on the panel.

“The American people deserve to know the names of every person involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking ring,” Blackburn write in the X note. “We need to see his flight log. I have asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to authorize a subpoena to his estate so that we can review these documents.”

Epstein, a multi-millionaire financier, pleaded guilty in 2008 to procuring a child for prostitution and soliciting prostitutes. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison for the offence.

Epstein was busted again in 2019, accused of sexually abusing dozens of young girls at his Upper East Side townhouse and beachfront mansion in Palm, Beach, Fla., between 2002 and 2005.

The 66-year-old pedophile was found dead in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 and his death was ruled a suicide. He had faced up to 45 years in prison.

Epstein’s private jet, dubbed the “Lolita Express,” was allegedly used by the sex offender and his partner, convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell, to fly A-list celebrities and underage girls around the world and to his private island in the Caribbean.

Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was one of Epstein’s “sex slaves,” was on the customized Boeing 727 at the same time as Prince Andrew of the United Kingdom, according to court depositions opened shortly after Epstein’s death.

“If we’re going to talk about other countries, we have to talk about international travel space or airplane space or whatever you want to call it,” Giuffre told lawyers in 2016 when asked where she had sex with Maxwell.

“It happens all the time on the plane,” he added.

There is no evidence that any of the passengers on Epstein’s plane were involved in illegal activity.
