Shahnawaz Sheikh met Devoleena for the first time at a gym in Mumbai. They dated for about 3 years and then tied the knot in a private ceremony in Lonavala on December 14, 2022. Before tying the knot, the couple had a court wedding in Mumbai. The pre-wedding ceremony was held the day before and was attended by family members and close friends of the couple. During a media chat, while talking about their pre-wedding ceremony, a close friend of the couple said,
They had a Haldi party last night where only family members and close friends were invited. After the court wedding, they went to Lonavala to spend time with family.”

The source further revealed that the wedding was moderated as Shahnawaz and his family did not want it to be a big affair. He said,
Her boyfriend and his family are very modest, so they don’t want the wedding in the public eye, that’s why it’s very quiet. It was a simple wedding, as Devoleena and her partner envisioned. They planned to be stuck for a long time, and it just kept getting delayed. They have been planning to take their relationship to the next level for almost two years now. And finally took the leap, and was very happy.”
While Devoleena opted for a red net embroidered saree paired with a heavy red dupatta as her veil, Shahnawaz opted for a black suit for their wedding ceremony.
