Shani Louk’s mom speaks out on death of Hamas terrorist who paraded her daughter’s body: ‘Just one less’

The mother of tattoo artist Shani Louk said she was happy to hear the Hamas terrorist who paraded his body through Gaza had been killed – but said “it’s just one less” of those responsible for the atrocity.

Ricarda Louk confirmed that she had been told the terrorist who defiled her 22-year-old daughter at the Supernova music festival had been killed by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), without detailing how she knew.

“It doesn’t mean much to me – there are so many bad people who do such horrible things, and it’s just one less,” the 53-year-old mother said, according to the Telegraph.

“You’re happy that this person can’t hurt anyone else, but it doesn’t really matter because it’s a group of people,” he said.

“It’s not like a typical murder story where you find the killer and they’re killed – they do it as a group, so one doesn’t make much of a difference to me.”

The grieving mother also urged Israel to negotiate a deal with Hamas to release some 240 hostages held in the Gaza Strip in exchange for the release of 4,450 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons.

Shani Louk’s mother, Ricarda, left, saying she was happy to hear the Hamas terrorist who paraded her daughter’s body through Gaza was killed but noted that there were many involved in the atrocity.CEN

“To keep the hostage alive is more important than housing the prisoner here, from my perspective,” Louk said, according to the outlet. “Give them all the prisoners as long as they can spare some of our lives.”

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach revealed that Louk first informed him of the terrorist’s death at the hands of the Israeli army in a statement at X.

“The terrorist monster Hamas who paraded his naked body around Gaza, desecrating it in the name of Islam, and shouting Allahu Akbar, has been killed by the IDF,” wrote the TV host and author, who has been dubbed “America’s most famous rabbi.” “

“Hamas is evil incarnate. They are the Nazis of our time. Anyone who denies, after witnessing what they did to this poor innocent woman, that Hamas does not need to be completely destroyed is immoral,” he added.

A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces has yet to comment to The Post on the claim that the terrorist has been killed.

Louk did not say how he knew he was dead, or provide any details about how or when he believes he was killed by the IDF.

The family believed for weeks that their daughter, identified by her body art and dreadlocks, was hospitalized in Gaza.

But late last month, Israeli President Isaac Herzog confirmed that DNA found on a piece of skull matched Shani, who was paraded through Gaza after terrorists attacked a music festival near Kibbutz Re’im on Oct. 7.

His father, Nissim Louk, said he was killed instantly at the festival. His body has not been found.

“She was a very happy and cheerful person,” her mother told Boteach. “She loved music and dancing and life and she really enjoyed it until the last moment.”

On Monday, Hamas said it was ready to release up to 70 women and children in return for a five-day ceasefire and the release of 275 Palestinian women and children, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected any talks on a ceasefire.
