The 57-year-old country/pop icon’s 1997 breakthrough LP “Come On Over” contained 16 songs all co-written by Twain and her ex-husband Robert ‘Mutt’ Lange. Out of those 16 songs, 12 of them reached the top of the charts! (via The Boot)
Now nearly 25 years after the release of her breakthrough album, Twain appears to be reflecting on the artists dominating the music charts today and recognizing the qualities that ‘really impress her’ about the current crop of music icons.

The Blast first reported Twain’s admiration for the one and only Harry Styles in 2018.
Four years after he expressed interest in working with the former One Direction boy, his dream is definitely getting closer to becoming a reality!
At the time Twain revealed he was “obsessed” with the idea of potentially collaborating with Styles, (who had released his first solo record “Harry Styles” a year prior to the interview), but he hadn’t begun any sort of planning process in moving forward with the possibility at the time of his Real Country interview. .
Fast forward to 2022, and it looks like Styles is ‘still the one’ for Twain!
2022 is a very profitable year for the 28-year-old “Don’t Worry Darling” actor. Styles released his hugely popular third album “Harry’s House” in the Spring, starred in the widely discussed film “Don’t Worry Darling”, directed by his partner, Olivia Wilde, and he took to the stage with his fans in a Coachella performance for the ages !
Twain and Styles set hearts racing with their duet of Twain’s massively successful love song “You’re Still The One.” After successfully melting the audience’s hearts, Twain declared “It’s like a dream, and it’s so real, to sit here and sing this song with you. I think I just fell in love.”
Are There Mutual Feelings For Twain’s Duet Partners?
Styles certainly shared a lot of love for his Coachella duet partner!
He made his admiration known on stage. According to our report, Styles recalls listening to Twain’s music growing up and soaking up the sounds coming from his mother’s radio.
“In the car with my mom as a kid, this woman taught me how to sing,” Styles told both Twain and the audience. She cheekily added, “She also taught me that men are trash.”
He also told the “starstruck” singer, “I will always be grateful. This is very special to me…”
What’s the Latest on Possible Further Collaborations Between the Duo?
The pair’s Coachella duet clearly left Twain in awe of the “As It Was” singer. Almost half a year later his admiration has certainly not diminished!
Twain recently spoke about Styles to Entertainment Tonight and gave some insight into how she currently feels about the possibility of stepping into the studio with him.
“We just have to ask,” Twain explained to the People magazine outlet, referring to the first step in getting the ball rolling. “I never asked him that. I have to ask Harry officially,” he said.
Now, what about the timeline? There isn’t one yet.
When Twain was asked about a potential time when fans could expect to hear a duet, she said, “Well, not about this. [latest] album, but in the future, I will say ‘yes.’ I’ll hold Harry to that.”
