The NBA legend had people talking earlier this week after he rummaged through a Home Depot employee’s DMs, so he decided to have a little fun with it all and visit Home Depot to defuse the hilarious situation.

A few days ago, Instagram user Ariana Josephine attracted a lot of attention online after posting a selfie in her Home Depot apron. In the midst of all the attention, she received a DM from someone very familiar, O’Neal, who had something to say about the negative comments she received.
“One last note about Home Depot since the world illegally mixed up my location and job. You guys are turning something innocent into something crazy, and ruining the way I make money by seriously taking the internet too far. Thank you for all the good people I’ve talked to and inspired and thank you for the hate because it helped me get closer to God and become stronger,” she captioned her photo.

After seeing the post, O’Neal took action and went straight into his DMs. (But it might not be what you think.)
Ariana shared her DM conversation with NBA greats, and of course, everyone was talking. She captioned her story, “When Shaq texts, you know you’re doing something right, okay!”

O’Neal calls her to remind her not to let people bother her and not to read the comments. She ended her DM exchange with a flirtatious O’Neal style, “Have a nice day tell all your boyfriends I’m saying hi lol.”

O’Neal being the fun-loving himself, wasn’t going to let this interesting story die after DM. He decides to have some fun with it and jokingly visits Home Depot to find Ariana.
One Home Depot got the shock of its life with O’Neal visiting and essentially taking over. O’Neal danced, rapped, talked to people, and posed as a Home Depot employee for a hilarious video he shared on Instagram. Check out the full video HERE.

The video begins with O’Neal pulling up to a store and walking in with a smile on his face. A Home Depot employee simply said, “He’s in the back,” before O’Neal had a little fun around the store.
While at the store, he signed autographs, took pictures with shoppers and employees and even reportedly bought a washer and dryer for someone.
At the end of the video, he says, “I’m at Home Depot. I’m looking for someone,” with a smile on his face. He tells an employee he hasn’t found it, before he walks outside singing, “Tell me if you’ve seen it, tell me you’ve seen it.”

In the comments of the Instagram video, O’Neal shared a message for one of the Home Depot employees he interacted with, “Shout out to my boy JP.”
Many of her followers had something to say about her little Home Depot adventure. And not many seem to fully understand the reason for his impromptu visit to the store.
“Looking through the comments, and no one knows the real reason why he’s hanging out at Home Depot. And it’s funny to me,” wrote one. Another added, “Shaq is really acting stupid.. looking for that home Depot girl lol…”
One follower shared his thoughts on appreciating Shaq as he said, “Super Shaq!!! More than a hall of fame as a Person! We love you and appreciate you Big Man!”
