NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal has opened up about his weight loss process.
O’Neal spoke openly about her remarkable weight loss after changing her diet and incorporating other healthy lifestyle recommendations into her daily routine.
The necessary changes began to manifest when the former basketball player carefully followed a diet plan.
He previously discussed on “Impaulsive with Logan Paul” a few months ago how the large size of his NBA colleague, Charles Barkley, prompted him to start his weight loss challenge. O’Neal’s persistence has since paid off, as evidenced by the roughly 40 pounds he’s lost.

In an interview with Entertainment TonightO’Neal spoke candidly about losing a lot of weight after he changed his diet and added other healthy lifestyle advice to his daily life.
She shared during the sit-down that a friend had inspired the change by drawing her attention to her weight which seemed to be putting her health at risk.
The friend also put her in touch with an expert who helped her start her weight loss journey by creating comprehensive guidelines on what she needed to achieve and how to achieve it.
“A friend of mine called me and said, ‘You’re fat,’ and he gave me this guy’s name, and he did some blood work,” the former NBA professional said on the show.
O’Neal added, “He said, ‘You can do this, you can’t do that, [eat] more vegetables, [your] low iron.’

After the retired basketball player wisely implemented a nutritional plan, the necessary changes began to emerge.
“When I first started changing certain things, it fell off,” says the Quinquagenarian. “It’s all about eating right.”
She shared details about the foods she was told to avoid, noting that soda was a key one. Now, O’Neal has opted for healthier options like shakes, which are often made from fruits and vegetables that have been ground into a liquid form.
O’Neal also revealed that he plans to remove bread from the list of things he still eats, adding that his desired look is to transform into famous Hollywood macho actor Mark Wahlberg.
“I think I can get the Marky Wahlberg look. I want to be known as Black Mark Wahlberg,” he said jokingly in a show per Page Six.

A few months ago, O’Neal shared during an appearance on “Impaulsive with Logan Paul” how NBA TV partner Charles Barkley’s weight prompted him to take on a weight loss challenge.
The former basketball player said before starting his weight loss journey, he compared himself to Barkley’s weight and was disappointed that there was no difference.
“I like to create crazy motivations,” he said, per New York Post. “I look at myself, and I have that Charles Barkley retirement body.
“I don’t want my stomach to go overboard anymore. So I was just like, ‘Let me go ahead and get slim.’ After that [picture] went viral, now I have to live up to it,” she added, referring to a video of herself showing off her stomach uploaded to her social media site.

All that hard work has paid off for O’Neal, who said in the interview that he’s down nearly 40 pounds.
“I was 401 pounds. Now I’m 365,” O’Neal shared, per NYP. “I’m trying to get it back to 345. I want to have muscles everywhere, and I want to do underwear commercials with my son [for] Fruit of the Loom, dear.”
Although O’Neal is now an advocate of proper nutrition, he is also dedicated to working out in the gym.
“[I do] just cardio – 30-40 minutes – then chest, arms, biceps, triceps,” he says GQ in March. “An easy old man’s workout. I can’t do all that CrossFit stuff.”
In addition to eating healthy and exercising, the sports analyst took his health seriously after his doctor diagnosed him with sleep apnea.
