Sharna Burgess Skips DWTS Season 31 To Bond With Her Son

Given the multiple DMs Burgess received over the course of several days, she decided to come clean about not participating in the 31st season of “DWTS.” He admitted that after some thought, long conversations, and trying to do what was right, he made the “tough” decision not to play in the new season.

Although he may not compete, he will definitely be there “in some capacity” as he declares that he is at one hundred percent efficiency with his body. Pro dancers feel fit and strong and ready to dance; however, the details of his involvement in the program will eventually be mapped out.

Spending ten hours away from Zane, given the travel time, prep, hair and makeup schedule, was not something she was willing to do as a full time breastfeeding and loving mama. This leads her to decide to stay with her son “in the moment” and “live and love” every moment despite how wonderful and magical the new season promises to be.

Naturally, the former “DWTS” winner can’t help but love her infant son, and not long ago, she and her partner, Brian Austin Green, also the father of her son, celebrated the baby’s two-month milestone. The Blast reported the details of the celebration, done on Instagram with a beautiful message from the adoring mama and a clip of her cradling her little one to her chest as he slept.

In the video, Zane has a nipple in his mouth and looks calm without a worry in the world while his mother stares at him lovingly for a few seconds before kissing him on the forehead. While celebrating the child and her motherhood journey, Burgess wrote:

“Moments with my milk hangover over baby boy. I’ve been sharing different versions of these moments for the past 8 weeks, and maybe to you, they seem like the same thing over and over again.”

He continued, “But for me, every moment is like the first. This position of him on my chest still makes me emotional and fills me with love [sic] can’t even begin to describe.” The 37-year-old choreographer feels her relationship with her son is “unreal and unlike anything else” she’s ever experienced; every time she’s away from him, her body wants to return to him.

In addition, he confessed that “the gift of watching and guiding him was everything I dreamed of and more.” Ending the heartfelt message, she congratulated her on two months of being a mother for eight weeks as “by far the worst and most beautiful thing” she’s ever done.

“So You Think You Can Dance” Star Gets Honest About Child Born Via C-Section

After Zane’s birth and the terrifying C-section she had to welcome him into the world, Burgess opened up to her fans about not being able to give birth to her baby boy naturally. The Blast noted that she admitted that she never expected a C-section and didn’t “necessarily have a birth plan” but plans to take the usual “go with the flow” approach.

Unfortunately, that approach was put to the test when she was informed that surgery was the safest option for her delivery. The June-born ballroom dancer said of her labor experience, “Our little Zane was trying so hard to come out, but after 30+ hours of labor and my water breaking TWICE, I just wasn’t dilated enough.”

It was an admittedly scary moment for him, but thankfully, Zane arrived “healthy and happy,” which is always a priority.
