Now, the star dancer is ready for her comeback!

Sharna Burgess Open to Idea of Competing Again on ‘Dancing With The Stars’

After taking a year off, Burgess has revealed that while she’s glad she’s taking time off, she misses competing on the hit reality TV show.

The former professional competitor made the revelation while engaging his fans in a question-and-answer session via his Instagram story. The mother of one stated, “I want to go back and dance. I really crave dancing and creating and even competing! I feel like I want an edge and a feeling of competing for something”

However, even though he can’t wait to be on screen again, Burgess has no regrets about taking time to focus on himself.

“I missed out last year I know but I don’t regret the decision because of what I was able to share with Zane. I have no regrets at all about these last 12 months. But I am very ready to dance.” he added.

In August 2022, the 38-year-old made the difficult decision to step down from DWTS after giving birth to her son, Zane. At the time, she used her Instagram Stories to share the news with her followers, explaining the reasons behind her choice.

Speaking to his fans, Burgess revealed that after careful consideration and lengthy discussions, he has decided not to be a part of the 31st season. Contrary to the previously released list that included him as one of the professionals for this season, he clarified that he will not be returning.

The 38-year-old revealed that this was due to his reluctance to leave his little one alone for long periods of time and was often demanding on the set of the hit show. “I’m not ready to spend at least 10 hours a day away from Zane,” she explained. “I am a full-time breastfeeding mom. And not only that, I really love being a mother. Although it’s hard to say no to Dancing…I have this family and this newborn baby at home that I may never get back these moments [with].”
