Sharon Osbourne Dishes On Husband Ozzy’s Return To Stage & His ‘Goodbye’ Gift To Fans

Sharon Osbourne has more exclusive information about Ozzy Osbourne’s last and final concert after more than five decades on stage amid his battle with Parkinson’s disease.

The legendary rocker has been inundated with multiple surgeries following a falling stage in 2019, causing him to pull out of shows he had booked.

Ozzy Osbourne Will Take A Bow From The Show Soon

Sharon Osbourne revealed the news on Sunday and confirmed Ozzy’s imminent return to the stage as he retires. In his words:

“He’s not going to tour anymore, but we’re planning to do two more shows to say goodbye because he feels like ‘I’ve never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly.'”

He went on to say that both concerts will be held in Aston Villa, which is Ozzy’s beloved hometown, adding that the legend still sounds phenomenal, thanks to his regular singing lessons.

Sharon concluded in his statement to Daily Mail that Ozzy has “a different melody in his head,” and that while people aren’t fans of his music, his friendly personality makes up for it.

The concert marks a comeback for the legend, who was forced to cancel his performance at last year’s Power Trip Festival in California. He sadly announced the cancellation of his first show in five years in a statement that read:

“As painful as it was, I had to make the decision to stop performing at Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I was optimistic about moving forward.”

However, Ozzy explained that his body was not ready to perform such a task, and his group, consisting of his close friends, had to replace him. He ended his statement by thanking his fans and band members for their loyalty and support.

Before his sudden exit from the festival, Ozzy expressed his readiness to return to the stage as he finishes his final spinal surgery. The Blast shared last September that even though he couldn’t walk properly at the time, the surgery went as planned, and his pain has greatly decreased.

Ozzy also revealed his plans for 2024, including releasing a new album for his fans. He plans to reunite with Andrew Watt for the project and has already set up his studio in the UK to begin recording in early 2024, adding:

“I’m just starting to work on it now, and we’ll be shooting early next year. I want to take my time with this one!”

2023 is certainly a year to remember for the 75-year-old, who unexpectedly announced his retirement from performing live last February.

Citing his spinal injury from a fall four years ago as the main cause, the singer reiterated that his body is still exhausted from all the medical procedures in a statement to his fans:

“My only goal all this time is to return to the stage. My singing voice is good. However, after three surgeries, stem cell treatments, endless physical therapy sessions, and most recently the groundbreaking Cybernics Treatment (HAL), my body is still physically weak.”

Ozzy added that while the exemplary patience of his fans has sustained him, it is now clear to him that he is not physically fit to cover the European/UK tour dates and the travel involved.

“Believe me when I say that the thought of disappointing my fans really FS ME UP, more than you will ever know,” the father of five said in his emotional statement.

He did, however, share that his team will be sharing a new venue where he will perform without having to travel, as he thanked his friends, family, band and crew for their “endless dedication, loyalty and support” and for gave him a life he never dreamed he would have.

Ozzy’s musical career began in the 1970s when his band “Black Sabbath” released their first heavy metal album “Paranoid,” which contained hit singles such as “War Pigs” that made him a global sensation.
