Shawn Mendes has opened up about pulling out of Wonder: The World Tour to focus on his mental health issues.
While her millions of fans didn’t make a fuss about her canceling the tour, stating that she needed “time off to heal and take care” of her mental health, they were worried when she debuted a new haircut last month.
The three-time Grammy winner was spotted out and about in Los Angeles with a fresh style, an unusual move away from her signature wavy locks. She has now revealed why she chose the hair, among other personal issues, just a month after she revealed it.

He began his candid conversation by stating that the “complicated” but necessary decision to cancel his tour was due to the need for therapy. In the words of the “It’ll Be Okay” hitmaker:
“The process is very difficult. A lot of therapy, a lot of trying to understand how I feel and what makes me feel that way. And then do the work to help myself and heal. And also depending on the people in my life to help a little.”
The 24-year-old admitted that while it was “a lot of work” to sort out his emotions, he believes the process is paying off for him. Mendes told street wall journal that “the past year and a half” has been “the most eye-opening and evolving healing process and beautiful and just.”
Even so, he realizes that he couldn’t have gone this far without the help of people who have been “so accepting and loving and kind and understanding.” With such people in his corner, he realizes how progressive the world is, thus “starting to get to a place where mental health is really a priority.”
Regarding her buzz cut, the “Fallin’ All in You” singer explained her belief that people should know what they look like with a shaved head, claiming that she also feels “this urge” to “shake myself up a little bit. .”
Fans will recall that Mendes initially postponed his tour last July before canceling the remaining dates a few weeks later. He had started performing in June and was set to show off his stage skills at another 40 shows until he knew he needed a break. In a statement the Canadian singer-songwriter released at the time, she told fans in part:
“It became clearer that I needed to spend time that I never took personally, to build myself up and come back stronger. Unfortunately I have had to cancel the remaining tour dates in North America, and the UK/Europe.”

The Pop Star Met His Rumored Girlfriend Jocelyne Miranda In January
The Blast shares insight into Mendes’ love life after his alleged girlfriend, Dr. Jocelyne Miranda, was seen walking into her home with a black tote bag that many assumed contained overnight products and clothes. The 51-year-old was accompanied by the Brit Awards nominee, who wore a black tank top and gray cargo pants.
Meanwhile, Miranda chose an oversized pink sweatshirt, leggings and white shoes. The alleged couple were first romantically linked last July after they were caught on a lunch date together.
Fans have since assumed they were in a relationship after working together on Mendes’ 2018-2019 tour, with the beautiful doctor assisting the “Monster” singer during the American Music Awards (AMAs), MTV Video Music Awards and “Saturday Night Live.”
Miranda has a medical background in biomechanics, biodynamics, and soft tissue and will be Mendes’ first girlfriend since Camila Cabello.
