Shelly Kishore is an Indian film and television actress best known for her roles as Shalini in the Malayalam soap opera Kumkumapoovu (2011–2014) on Asianet and Padma in the Malayalam soap opera Thaniye (2006) on Amrita TV. He is also known for starring in the Tamil film Thanga Meenkal (2013) and the Malayalam film Minnal Murali (2021).

Shelly Nabu Kumar was born on Thursday, 18 August 1983 (age 40 years; in 2023) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. His zodiac sign is Leo.
His family hails from Chirayinkeezhu, Thiruvananthapuram. He grew up in Muscat, Oman watching black and white Malayalam films. Shelly was active in arts and culture festivals while she was studying at school. At first, he dreamed of becoming a director but soon realized that it was not easy to get directions. Thus, he continued his career in acting despite his lack of experience in front of the camera and performing on stage. After completing Class 12, he pursued a diploma in mass communication at Oklahoma City University in Singapore. He also obtained a diploma in sociology from the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Later, he pursued a PG Diploma in E-governance. . He stepped into the entertainment industry after his friend posted a casting call advertisement published in the Malayala newspaper Manorama by filmmaker Kanal Kannadi. He applied for it and was selected. After marriage, she started living in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. After appearing in Sthreepadham (2017-2020), Shelly completed her master’s degree in Communication and Journalism at Sacred Heart College and started working in an ad agency based in Bengaluru as a copywriter. Later, he worked as a content writer at an IT firm called Moon Hive in Bengaluru.

Career
In 2000, she was second runner-up in the Miss Flower Show contest held in Kanakakunnu, Trivandrum.
His first film Kanal Kannadi was never released. However, the film’s cameraman Anbumani introduced her to director Purushotthaman, who gave her a break in the Malayalam serial Chitrashalabham on Amrita TV.
Television (Malayalam)
In 2006, she made her television debut with the show Koottu Kudumbam which aired on Kairali TV. In 2007, she came into limelight with Thaniye Amrita TV telefilm in which she played the role of Padma.
She played the double role of Nandana & Sitara in the serial Chitrashalabham (2006) on Amrita TV. In 2007, she appeared in the TV shows Thingalum Tharangalum (as Raziya) on Amrita TV and Aa Amma on Kairali TV. Shelly rose to fame with the role of Shalini Rudran in the soap opera Kumkumapoovu (2011–2014), which aired on Asianet.
She was chosen for her role in the serial Kumkumapoovu at the request of her husband, Kishore C Menon. Kishore is the Production Controller of Kumkumapoovu. At that time, he was doing his PG in E-Governance. After the show, she took a break from television to take care of her son, Yuvan Kishore. After a long hiatus, she played the main protagonist, Balasudha, in the soap opera Sthreepadham (2017–2020) on Mazhavil Manorama.
From 2020 to 2021, she played the role of Jeena in Surya TV’s Ente Maathavu.

In 2009, she appeared in the Malayalam anthology film Kerala Cafe (in Shankar Ramakrishnan’s ‘Island Express’) as a schoolgirl named Kaveri.
Other Malayalam films in which she appeared include Chattakaari (2012), Akam (2013), Sakhavu (2017), and Eeda (2018). While she was doing her master’s degree at Sacred Heart College, she landed the role of Usha in Minnal Murali’s blockbuster superhero film (2021).
Tamil language
In 2013, he made his Tamil debut when he played the role of Vadivu in the drama film Thanga Meenkal. The film’s narrative revolves around the closure of government schools across Tamil Nadu and its impact on a middle-class family consisting of a father, a mother (Vadivu) and their daughter. Much appreciated, Shelly’s role as Vadivu earned her a nomination in the Best Actress in a Supporting Role category at the 3rd South Indian International Film Awards.
In 2022, she played the role of Janaki in the horror thriller film Naane Varuvean.
