Death
On Sunday, June 28, 2020, her body was found from a bed box in her beauty salon. Reportedly, one of his neighbors, Arif brutally killed him on Friday, June 26, 2020 and kept him alive by posting a video on his TikTok account.
Shivani’s sister, Sweta says,
Arif had come to meet Shivani on June 26. He didn’t come home that night and I made frantic calls and texts to him telling him that our mother was sick. I got a message from his phone, saying he is fine and is in Haridwar and will be back on Tuesday.”
Shivani’s neighbor had complained about the foul smell coming from the living room. One of his friends, Neeraj went to the living room to check the source of the stench. He was the first to find Shivani’s body in the bed box. According to Shivani’s father, Arif is a soul lover and has been following her for the past three years. Shivani’s father says,
We have transferred the police who took action and he has also apologised. But he never left my daughter and took revenge.”
Later, Arif confessed that he had killed him; because she used to like him and he had stopped talking to her for the previous 15 days, which disturbed her and Arif went to her salon where the whole incident took place. The local police of Kundali, Sonipat charged Aarif with destruction of evidence and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

DSP Virender Singh who looked into the whole matter said,
Accused Aarif has confessed to the murder. He not only killed the woman but also talked to her family the whole night of the murder. Aarif will be brought to court after undergoing a COVID-19 test. The accused strangled the woman using a dupatta and stuffed her body on the bed Neeraj was using. The murder came to light after Neeraj noticed a foul smell coming from the salon. He later found Shivani’s body from the box.”
