Jyoti Rajput, better known as Shivjyoti Rajput, is an Indian actress and model. She rose to fame after playing the role of Kainaat Alqaazi née Sahani in ALTBalaji’s web series “Bebaakee” (2020).

After completing his schooling, Shivjyoti enrolled himself at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, to pursue studies in Global Trade Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He then attended the Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Rohini, Delhi, to study business management. After that, he got his MBA in Marketing from Maharshi Dayanand Rohtak University. While in college, Shivjyoti was almost every professor’s favorite student and was dubbed “Miss Popular” on her convocation day.

Shivjyoti started his career as a Business Development Executive in 2013 with Head Field Solutions Private Limited, an employment agency in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He worked there for about a year and then joined Mudpie India Communications Private Limited, Gurgaon, as an account executive. After taking several jobs, Shivjyoti started working with IndusInd Bank New Delhi as a relationship manager. While Shivjyoti was working in a bank, one day he accompanied one of his friends to an audition for an advertisement. Upon arriving at the venue, he also decided to give an audition (just for fun). Apparently, the ad maker enjoyed her performance and chose her for a TV commercial. After that, he did advertising campaigns for many leading brands such as Maybelline New York, Victoria’s Secret, Angel Josephine Skriver, Biba, Head and Shoulders, Dollar, Google Pixel, Samsung Gear Watch, Samsung Refrigerator and Harpic.
He is also featured in print advertisements of brands like Titan Eye-Plus and Bikanervala. Meanwhile, he also continued to audition for films.

With this being my first performance, preparation for the role was very important. Even so, I had little time to understand things because I was the last person involved in the show. To catch up, I took a week off from the production team and got up to speed by watching some Muslim-centric shows where the characters speak Urdu. Doing that and getting an accent for the show is very important, because that is one of the main essence of Bebaakee. If I don’t understand Kainaat’s temperament, it will kill the atmosphere. Kainaat is both a Punjabi and a Muslim girl, so I had to strike a perfect balance between saying ‘Haanji papaji’ and ‘Ammi’ on the other side. Watching this show helped me a lot!”

My brother is the person who supports me and my dreams. He is the one who convinced my parents to give me the chance to pursue my dreams.”
