Career
Shlok Bharadwaj aka Shlovij hails from Uttarakhand. Shlovij has experienced many struggles in his life, he lost his father at a very young age and the responsibility of supporting and feeding his family fell on his shoulders. It is rightly said that strength and growth comes with constant effort and struggle, all his hard work paid off when he got an opportunity to be a part of India’s first Rap/Hip-Hop reality show MTV Hustle season 2. The show aired on MTV channel with Baadshah as judge and Dino James, Dee MC, King, EPR as Squad Boss and hosted by Krissann Barretto.
Shlovij was very close to his father but unfortunately, he lost them in the early phase of his life. So as a tribute to him, he gave his stage name as Shlovij which is a mixture of Shlok and his father’s name Vijay. He thinks that although he never got the chance to spend much time with his father but will always feel his presence in his name.
Shlovij is known for writing rap music about great Hindu warriors. What sets him apart from other rappers is that he supports our ancient languages Sanskrit and Hindi and he gained popularity for writing his raps in pure Hindi. Shlovij very often shares videos of his own creations on Instagram and YouTube.
