Shreyas Mendiratta was born and raised in New Delhi. He attended Delhi Public School RK Puram in New Delhi. A popular kid since childhood, Shreyas grew up as the class clown, making his friends laugh with jokes he would read in comics. He recalled the same in an interview and said,
I always wonder, “How did we become friends?” It wasn’t until Class 3 that I discovered the secret to being an approachable character – Sense of Humor and Wisdom….I came across a bunch of “Champak” Comics during Summer Vacation, which had a whole section in it dedicated to Jokes for Kids. I read it and couldn’t stop laughing. I made a separate Notebook that I will use to write them. When school reopened, I shared the Joke with the rest of the class. As I expected, everyone laughed. I made this a regular habit, and before long, I had developed a ‘Class Clown’ persona; always make others laugh. “
He started performing on stage at school when he was in Class 6, and soon, he developed a passion for theater and acting. Soon after, he was appointed to the Expression Club, DPS RK Puram theater association and participated in various intra-school, inter-school and national level competitions. He was in Class 9 when he started learning to play the guitar. To his surprise, not only did he have a thing for music, but he also had a mesmerizing voice. He followed the Science Stream (Medicine) after Class 10. At the same time, he also started his YouTube channel and Instagram page, where he would shoot and post music videos regularly. Soon, he began experimenting with music and comedy to create content for social media. In 2019, he started studying MBBS at SGT Medical College Hospital & Research Institute, Gurugram. and at the same time trained in acting and cinema at Global Actors Group, a Drama school in New Delhi.
