Criticized for posting a distorted map
In 2023, Shubh was criticized by netizens after he shared a post on his Instagram story. The post contained a distorted map of India from which the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and the North Eastern states had been cut out. Shubh captioned his Instagram story and wrote: “Praying for Punjab.”

When netizens started slamming Shubh for his post, he deleted the IG story and posted a plain black picture where he wrote ‘Praying for Punjab.’ Actress Kangana Ranaut criticized Shubh in an Instagram story and said,
Yeh Khalistani Virus wali bimari wahan kaafi Punjabi Celebrity ko pakdi hue hai..beheading of India in its map should have serious legal consequences… GOI must make strong laws against such criminals..do jail with hawa khilake, Inke dimaag to Khalistan I replied bhar do, fill in the empty space kardo inn sabka (sic).”
