Early life and career
Born in Jamshedpur, Shweta did her schooling from RN Podar High School (Mumbai) after which she also graduated in Journalism and Mass Media. He has also written many columns for the famous news portal “Indian Express”.
Shweta started her acting career in 1998 with the serial “Zone X”. In 2002, he played a double role as ‘Chuni/Muni’ in the Hindi film ‘Makdee’. In 2008, he was also seen as ‘Anu’ in the Bengali film ‘Ek Nadir Galpo’. In 2008, she also entered the Telugu film industry and played the role of ‘Swapna’ in the Telugu film ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’.
Shweta Basu married filmmaker Rohit Mittal on 13 December 2018 and they got divorced on 10 December 2019. He announced the divorce through his Instagram handle.
