Shweta met Bhojpuri actor and producer, Raja Chaudhary, through one of her friends. The two dated for a few months and tied the knot in 1999. They have a daughter, Palak Tiwari, who was born in 2000. The couple started facing problems in their marriage in 2006 and subsequently separated in 2007. The couple divorced in 2012.

Career
Shweta Tiwari started her acting career in 1998 by playing a small role in Ekta Kapoor’s “Kaliren”. Next, she appeared in the TV series “Kaahin Kissii Roz” where she played the role of Anika. In 2001, she won the lead role of “Prerna Sharma” in Star plus’s romantic drama “Kasautii Zindagi Kay.” The show ran for about 8 years and brought Shweta huge popularity.

While Kasautii lasted for a long time, Tiwari side by side tried his hand at reality shows. She participated in the dance reality show “Nach Baliye” with her ex-husband, Raja Chaudhary, in 2006. In 2013, she appeared in the dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.”
In 2010, she entered the Bigg Boss 4 house as a contestant and emerged as the winner of the show.

In August 2019, she registered an obscenity case against her husband Abhinav Kohli for allegedly slapping her daughter Palak and making obscene comments, as well as showing her indecent pictures. Her husband was arrested by the Mumbai Police after her complaint. However, later, Palak made an Instagram post where she clarified that Kohli had never physically molested her or touched her inappropriately. But he made disturbing comments that would provoke any woman.
FIR Comment Against Her Bra
On 28 January 2022, he was convicted under Section 295(A) of the Indian Penal Code for hurting the religious sentiments of Hindus. The FIR, which was registered against him at the Shyamla Hills police station in Bhopal, came after Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra ordered an inquiry into his controversial statement he gave during a web series launch event in Bhopal. During the event, Tiwari said,
