Death
On August 31, 2023, she died of kidney failure, reportedly caused by complications from buttock lift surgery. In October and November 2011, Luna underwent Brazilian butt lift surgery. In 2014, she was diagnosed with kidney stones that were allegedly caused by her cosmetic surgeon’s use of methacrylate on her back. Twelve years after her initial cosmetic surgery, her doctor advised her to undergo a kidney transplant. In 2023, his health began to decline, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital. He also filed a police complaint against his surgeon Aníbal Lotokki, accusing him of repeatedly inflicting serious injuries four times which caused him serious health problems. Lotokki was subsequently sentenced to four years in prison and disqualified from practicing medicine for five years, although he denied the allegations and appealed to the court. In April 2023, Luna shared a video on her Instagram account where she was seen leaning on a life support machine.

On August 19, 2023, officials at the hospital where he was admitted reported that he had contracted a bacterial infection that caused him to be removed from life support. However, he could not survive, and he breathed his last on August 31, 2023.
