Simi Talsania is an Indian dancer, model and social media influencer. She came into limelight after participating in the Indian dance reality TV show Dance Plus Season 3 (2017). Simi was part of the House of Suraj dance troupe in the show.

He attended Bombay Cambridge Gurukul (also known as Bombay Cambridge International School), Mumbai, and Dr. S. Radhakrishnan International School, Borivali, Mumbai. Simi attended NL College of Commerce, Malad, Mumbai, to pursue her studies in Psychology. While continuing his studies, Simi achieved rank 2 in his college. She developed an interest in dance at the age of 15 after watching Meher Malik’s belly dance on the show ‘Just Dance.’ Soon after, she joined Veronica De Simas’ dance company ‘Veve’ to learn belly dancing. He trained under Veronica for around three years. Talsania later became part of the dance crew KOHL Belly Dance Movement, formed by the core members of the group Veve.

During one of the crew’s annual events, Simi saw Tejasvi Patil, aka Tee-J hit on stage, and she instantly became a Patil fan. Simi wanted to learn dance from Tee-J since the day she watched him perform on stage and in 2016, she approached Tejasvi to train her in Waacking. Simi then trained under him for several months; learning new and unusual techniques that help her grow as a dancer. Later, Tejasvi introduced him to Kumari Suraj (known as Queen Mendera Nuevo from Los Angeles).

Career
Simi Talsania started her career as a model in 2013 by featuring in a Max Steel commercial alongside Virat Kohli.

In 2014, Simi got the opportunity to represent India at the Belly Dance China international dance festival. After that, she participated in the dance reality TV show Dance India Dance Season 5 (2015). Simi managed to reach the Top 30 in the show, however, could not make it to the Top 15. At that time, Terence Lewis and his company were making Disney India’s first broadway musical ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ They saw Talsania at Dance India Dance and asked her to audition for the musical. Simi then auditioned and was selected. After that, he trained under Terence for around seven to eight months, which exposed him to vast knowledge and experience.

The first show of the musical was launched on 23 October 2015 at The National Sports Club Of India, Worli.

In 2016, he approached Tejasvi Patil aka Tee-J (dancer) to train under him. Simi learns a new technique from Tee-J that helps him win his first competition as a whacker (Whacking is a form of street dance created in Los Angeles LGBT clubs during the 1970s disco era) in Whacker’s Night Vol.1.

Later, he also won the Cypher Hours organized in Hyderabad.

Soon, he was introduced to Kumari Suraj (a multi-hyphenate artist who specializes in Whacking) through Tee-J. At that time, Kumari was looking for a batsman from India, who could be a part of her already established dance crew House of Suraj for dance reality TV show India Dance+ Season 3 (2017). Tee-J recommended Simi’s name for her, and Simi was chosen as a crew member after auditioning via video call. His team House of Suraj is part of Team Punit on the show. They reached the Top 8 and later, were eliminated from the show.

In the same year, she participated in the Waackfest India dance competition with Prachi Dadwal. They both made it to the finals, but couldn’t win.

He is part of Famous Family, a dance troupe based in India. In 2022, he appeared as a contestant in the Teen-based reality TV show Roadies: Journey in South Africa. In the show, she was paired with contestant Sohil Singh Jhuti.
