The “BGT” creator then poked fun at his son’s ambitions, “That would be total torture,” Cowell told ET Online. “I mean, out of all the things I’ve ever done, this is probably the hardest because he does play drums. [He’s] go drum and sing! I went, ‘Oh my God, no.'”

Later in the conversation, the 63-year-old TV personality revealed that her 9-year-old son has been helping her with her judging duties on “AGT,” and that her reactions to each performance are genuine.
According to the doting dad, his little one is a “great gauge” for talent as his reaction to each performance tells whether it’s good or not. Cowell explained, “And with kids, you can’t fake it, you know? If they like something, they like it. If they don’t like it, they’re bored.”
This admission is in line with Cowell’s previous revelation that his son called the shots in their home and his judgeship. At the time, the TV judge bluntly admitted, “It’s relentless,” before adding, “I have a good idea what she’s going to be like when she’s older. She has her own opinions, and she’s her own person, which is very important.”
He continued, “The great thing is when I watch the show when they come out, I see Eric thinking, does he like something? And he’s usually right.”
