Simone Biles Sends Out Warning To People Planning On Dressing Up As Jeffrey Dahmer For Halloween: ‘We Ain’t Having It!’

Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles hit the public with plans to dress up as convicted serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. He was arrested in the early 1990s for kidnapping and killing mostly marginalized groups such as people of color and LGBTQ members.

Dahmer was convicted in 1992 and sentenced to life in prison; however, he was beaten to death in 1994. The inmate recently became a household name after Netflix released his biography called “Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”

Ryan Murphy’s drama premiered last month and is gaining popularity despite opposition from the families of Dahmer’s victims.

Biles took to Twitter on Wednesday and called out everyone with plans to dress up as convicted serial killer and cannibal Dahmer. After Murphy’s true crime drama was released, there was a viral frenzy about the life of a serial killer from the public.

“Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” is currently the most-watched series on Netflix, second only to “Stranger Things 4.” It is also the second most popular English-language show on the streaming platform in history. Biles isn’t the only one opposed to a Jeffrey Dahmer-inspired costume for Halloween. Shirley, the mother of Tony Hughes, one of the serial killer’s victims, also expressed her disgust. Hughes was a 17-year-old deaf and non-vocal victim of Dahmer, and according to his mother, seeing the Netflix series was enough of a trigger for him.

While talking to TMZ, Shirley revealed that it was painful to watch Netflix, as well as online stores like Amazon and eBay, profit from her son’s murder. He claimed that the victim’s family was not compensated even though they had been taken advantage of.

According to Shirley, the ads placed on eBay should be taken down, or at least, the profits should be given to the affected families. He also blamed Netflix for producing the show, which led to Dahmer’s triggerman outfit, which will likely go viral on October 31.

Several Dahmer-related items have been featured on online marketplaces such as eBay and Amazon in preparation for Halloween. According to a recent report by BuzzfeedeBay has ended the sale of the item because it violates the company’s policy on violence and violent criminals.

The costume consisted of an orange jumpsuit, mask and goggles, which resembled what Evan Peters wore when he portrayed a serial killer in the Netflix crime drama. An eBay spokesperson revealed that the listing for the item has been taken down because it is now banned.

They said, “These items are prohibited for sale on our site, and we will remove them.” According to eBay policy, online sellers are prohibited from posting items that “promote or glorify violence.” The item must also not be associated with violent people, their deeds, or any crime scene in the past hundred years.

Despite eBay’s attempts to remove Dahmer-related merchandise, it is still there and thriving on Amazon. In an online store, a search for “Jeffrey Dahmer costume” will turn up glasses similar to the serial killer and several shirts with inscriptions downplaying his cannibalism.

These include T-Shirts that read “If you can’t beat ’em, eat ’em” and “I eat men like you for breakfast.” During his lifetime, Dahmer was responsible for the deaths of 17 people, most of whom were black men and boys. He enacted bone-chilling acts upon them, including necrophilia, dismemberment, and cannibalism.

Murphy’s Netflix series about the killer was released on September 21 and aroused public interest in it. The production also received a lot of criticism from the public, especially the victim’s family. They reveal the Netflix series that “re-traumatized” them.
