Singer Grimes has filed another legal case against her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk amid their custody battle for their children.
The “Gamer” creator is asking the court to dismiss Musk’s custody suit he filed in Texas, claiming the state lacks jurisdiction to decide this custody battle.
As we reported, she previously filed her own custody suit in California and has reached out to X to call out Musk’s new girlfriend for blocking her amid claims she’s been denied access to his son.

Grimes has filed to dismiss a custody suit filed against her in secret by her ex, Musk, late last month in Texas.
The tech giant claimed that his one-year-old children Tau Techno Mechanicus and Exa Dark Sideræl, who he shares with the singer, lived in the same house in Texas for several months this year. Musk also shares a son named X Æ A-Xii with the Canadian artist.
follow Page Six, Grimes has now responded in a countersuit, claiming that she and her children moved to California in December. He also mentioned that he “has and continues to have no ongoing, systematic or minimal ties to Texas,” while Musk has strong ties to California.
On this note, Grimes believes it is beyond the court’s jurisdiction to take part in the custody battle between her and Musk.
“The court’s assumption of jurisdiction in these proceedings is improper given the facts and the particular circumstances of the parties in this suit and would offend traditional notions of fair play and substantial justice,” the “Genesis” singer said in her filing.
Grimes Claims Elon Musk Is Keeping Her Away From Her Son

This comes after Grimes filed her own custody suit in California on September 29, days after Musk filed his in Texas.
The contents of the filing were not known at the time because it was sealed from public view. But court documents obtained by Business Insider later revealed that the singer filed for physical custody of her children and requested a “standard restraining order” against Musk to ensure that the children cannot be taken out of California.
Earlier that same month, Grimes took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to complain that Musk wouldn’t let her see her youngest child. She made the comment in response to a photo of the tech mogul and her new partner, Shivon Zilis, which also featured their twins. The photo was shared by Musk’s biographer, Walter Isaacson.
“Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or please answer my lawyer. I have never been allowed to see a picture of this child until now, even though it has completely torn my family apart,” Grimes said in a now-deleted tweet.
Grimes then shared a few days later that he had been able to contact Zilis. He added that the 37-year-old should not be blamed for the tense situation between him and Musk.
Elon Musk’s Father Weighs In On Custody Battle

Meanwhile, Musk’s father, Errol, has weighed in on the custody battle and seems to think that Grimes should be allowed to be fully involved in raising his children.
“A woman is a very important part of the home, a woman is the center of the home,” said the former engineering consultant. Adding, “Mother is the sun and other family members are the planets. If a father is gone for a few weeks, it makes no difference, but a woman is important.”
“A father and two sons living together is not really a family, it’s just three men; mother and two sons are a family,” he concluded.
It is now in the hands of the judge.
