Singer JoJo, born Joanna Noëlle Levesque, is best known for her 2004 hit song “Leave” and 2006 single “Too Little, Too Late.”
On Thursday, the 32-year-old singer and actress took to Instagram to share the news that she’s ready to take the stage and make her Broadway debut in “Moulin Rogue.”

On Thursday, the “Baby It’s You” singer took to Instagram to share the happy news with her 2.5 million Instagram followers. “The truth. Beauty. Freedom. Love,” he wrote in the caption. “So I can’t believe I finally get to say this… I’m making my Broadway debut in MOULIN ROUGE!!!”
“When I first saw this musical, I immediately fell in love. I watched from the edge of my seat, hanging on every word of every song,” he explained. “This show is a complete feast for the senses and the opportunity to play Satine feels like the culmination of many dreams. I can’t believe I got to join this incredible cast and company!!!! You guys pounced on me!!!”
JoJo also sends her “love and respect” to actress Ashley Loren, who, in her words, is “currently STARRING as Satine.” He described Ashley as “theee most incredible bad— singer actress artist, I’m lucky to be able to reach friends and experience brotherhood and generosity.”

Ashley will continue playing Satine until April 9, 2023. JoJo will take over as Satine on April 11, 2023, and end her 14-week run on July 16, 2023, at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.
“Thank you to the wonderful producers and directing staff for believing in me like you did. Performing on Broadway and living in NYC?! This is all a dream come true,” JoJo wrote. “I know this show means a lot to a lot of people and I promise to put everything I have into every night as Satine.”
She closed her Instagram post with the quote: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return…”

Many famous fans and friends were quick to congratulate him. “Congratulations dear! This is incredible!” commented one fan. “Omgggggf!!! This is the best thing ever. I can’t wait to see you as Satine,” wrote another follower. “Ahhhh this is amazing! Break a leg!” the third fan sounds.
