Singer Macy Gray’s Son Accused Of Abusing Her, Daughter Files For Restraining Order

Things don’t seem to be going well in singer Macy Gray’s house, as her daughter, Aanisah Hinds, has filed for a temporary restraining order against her own brother, Tracy Melvin Hinds, claiming that he is constantly “abusing” them.

According to court documents obtained by Explosion, Aanisah accused Tracy of getting into a “physical altercation” with Gray and “harassing” everyone in their home. He claimed he contacted the police in several cases and was advised by the police to file a restraining order against him.

Macy Gray’s daughter Aanisah, 29, has taken legal action to seek protection from her younger brother, Tracy, who she claims has abused everyone in their home, including her mother, singer and fiance, Cornel Pearson.

In her court filing, Aanisah detailed the alleged abuse by her brother.

He wrote, “Tracy was involved in a physical altercation with my mother [Gray], he follows her and bothers her like he always does when he drinks. My boyfriend [Cornel] tried to get my mother out but she kept following them until she fought my boyfriend.”

Aanisah continued, “We waited for the police to come while he kept knocking on the door of our room, looking for a confrontation. After he left the house, we locked the door, but he came back through the window and started to disturb [us] one more time. Then, he rejected me, and he has done it many times.”

Aanisah further claimed that the police eventually showed up but advised her family to file for a restraining order because they had no video of her alleged assault.

He is seeking refuge for himself, Macy Gray, and her fiancé, Pearson.

In the filing, Aanisah shared a past incident of alleged abuse by her brother, Tracy, recalling an incident in which he allegedly threw a drink at her and punched her fiancé, causing the two men to fight.

He claimed his brother was “drunk and [belligerent]” during the incident and “argued with everyone in the house.” According to Aanisah, her boyfriend stepped in when Tracy, who was said to be drunk, started to push him away. This makes Tracy “angry” and causes her to fight with her sister’s fiance.

“Tracy was drunk, and my boyfriend had to defend himself. Tracy threatened to kill my boyfriend and constantly harassed us,” the court document reads.

Aanisah added that at the time of this incident, they did not call the police for Tracy because they wanted to get him help for his alleged alcohol addiction.

As for why Macy didn’t file the document herself, Aanisah said she was a “celebrity” and didn’t want to spend time arguing in court. So, the decision was made for his daughter to file the case.

The document included a request for his son to relocate. Apparently the whole family lives together in the Los Angeles Valley.
