Sione Vaki Wiki– Sione Vaki was born in 2001. In 2019, he graduated from Liberty High School and was previously invited to the Polynesian Bowl. Sione Vaki, a sophomore with the Utah Utes, was raised Mormon and spent two years on a church mission before joining the Utes. It has been his mother’s ambition for her son to devote himself to religion.

Sione Vaki is a great University of Utah soccer player. He is from Antioch, California. He is 22 years old, but he is only entering his second year. Vaki comes from a pious family and had to put his college career on hold to fulfill his church mission. In Oakley, California, Vaki and his family are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Vaki stated in front of church leaders, family, and friends in 2019 that he would serve a two-year mission for the Church before enrolling in university. He did so to pay respect to his late mother, Oto’ota Vaki. Sione was a standout at Liberty, where he helped the team win the CIF North Coast Section Division I state championship in 2017. During his junior year at Liberty, he had 1,214 all-purpose yards, including 809 receiving (12 touchdowns) and 358 rushing ( six touchdowns).
He was also a member of the 2018 Liberty BVAL championship team, which finished second in California. Vaki had 1,684 all-purpose yards as a senior, including 111 punts (one touchdown), 96 punts, 75 interceptions and 43 rushing yards (one score). Sione started all 14 games as a freshman last year, recording 41 tackles and a career-high nine stops against Washington State. Vaki’s responsibilities increased this year as he started not only as a safety but also as a running back in two games.

Sione Vaki’s ancestors came from the Polynesian kingdom of Tonga. The security guard is one of 11 children born to Piuleini Vaki and the late Oto’ota Vaki. Oto’ota Vaki, Vakis’ mother, died in 2016 after a battle with liver cancer. Sione stated in an interview with 49ers Cal-Hi Sports that he has always been a mama’s boy, so losing her at such a critical time in his life was difficult for him and his family.
When asked about her mother’s death, Sione looked teary but managed to give the interviewer a bright smile as she remembered her mother and said she was her son. The player also said that his mother’s death accelerated his maturity and that he will see his mother again eventually. Sione’s father, Piuleini Vaki, also said that his mother was always with him on the field. Vaki doesn’t reveal much about his siblings, though he does post their photos on Instagram.
