The sister of a 19-year-old Washington man who boarded a Royal Caribbean cruise ship earlier this week is speaking out against “misinformation” amid her plea for answers and a desperate attempt to maintain hope in the wake of her family’s tragedy.
Savannah Ropich lashed out Saturday in a Facebook post at a woman who claimed she was also a passenger aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas and said the captain announced that video showed the young man jumping overboard.
“He doesn’t know what’s going on with my brother’s location and his condition,” Ropich, who lives in Texas, said in the post.
The woman, who is on TikTok as @brunausaflorida_official, also claimed a sick passenger had to be dropped off in the Cayman Islands while searching for Sigmund Ropich, 19, who fell from a boat off the coast of Cuba Tuesday.

He could not immediately be reached by The Post.
The US Coast Guard, which is set to investigate once the ship returns to the US, did not immediately respond to inquiries from The Post.
Savannah Ropich urged people to report the woman, and said she would delete the post about the woman altogether to focus on her brother.
She has blocked “vulgar and insensitive” comments for days as she posts photos and stories about her brother’s disappearance in an effort to encourage authorities to continue searching for him.

His brother, a college student, was on a cruise with friends when he fell off the world’s largest cruise ship. It was only the second day of a 7-day cruise out of Port Canaveral, Florida.
The crew spent about three hours combing the waters after the ship turned around and retraced its course, an industry site reported, but found nothing.
Savannah Ropich and other family members are pleading for answers and updates, she said.
“He was a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a nephew, a friend, a homie, a classmate, a colleague, a neighbor!!!” desperate sister wrote in another post.
In a statement to The Post, Royal Caribbean said it was working closely with local authorities but added, “Out of respect for the family, we will not be sharing further details about this unfortunate event.”
