“Sister Wives” star Christine Brown believes her ex-husband, Kody Brown, does not have a good relationship with their children. The reality star was married to Kody for 25 years and divorced him after a series of marital problems in November 2021.
She is one of his four wives, and although the two are not legally bound, Kody claims they are married “spiritually.” Among the wives, Robyn is the only reality star who is legally married.
Kody has 18 children with the four women, and his children with Christine include Aspyn, Mykelti, Paedon, Gwendlyn, Ysabel and Truely.

In a recent episode of “Sister Wives,” Christine revealed her grief over the strained relationship between her ex-husband Kody and their six children together. In a solo interview, the reality star said per Insider“The hardest part of my whole life is that my children don’t have a good relationship with their father — he doesn’t even know them.”
Sunday’s episode saw Christine’s 19-year-old daughter, Ysabel Brown, go to her college in North Carolina. Kody packed the car for him, Christine, and their 12-year-old son, Truely, to go to school. The father of 18 children however neglected to join them.
Ysabel, who did not have the best relationship with her father in previous seasons, seems to have come to terms with his decision. He said, “My father will not come with us. She has a child in Flagstaff, so she can’t be gone that long. Also, there is still COVID, unfortunately.”
‘Kody Has This Amazing Side That My Kids Don’t Know About’

In his confession, Kody revealed that he had no intention of traveling with Christine by his side. The reality star claims that she accepts his decision to divorce her; however, “I won’t go on a trip with him.”
Kody says that being a father to 18 children has left him “skinny”, and he does his best to build relationships with them. “I work hard to visit my children, to connect with them, to do something they like. It’s not always an easy connection,” he said.
Christine, in her confessional, revealed that she thinks Kody is “amazing,” and the fact that her kids don’t know that saddens her. “You also know what’s sad, they don’t know how great he is either,” he added. “Kody has an amazing side to him that my kids don’t know about.”
The reality star went on to say that even though Kody isn’t the guy anymore, his cool side is what made her fall in love.
Kody Brown Did Not Accompany His Daughter Ysabel For Her Surgery
Ysabel and Kody’s relationship for the past season seems strained. Fans noticed the tension between the father and daughter in 2020 when the 16th season of “Sister Wives” aired. At that time, Ysabel had to undergo surgery to correct her scoliosis, and Kody neglected to follow.
The surgery took place on the east coast, and the father of 18 spoke about the COVID-19 outbreak and the health and safety concerns that come with it. In August, Christine revealed that her ex-husband’s decision not to accompany Ysabel made her realize that she had to leave him.
Kody’s concern about contracting COVID-19 also affected his decision to see his children in person. Earlier, the reality star revealed that he will not visit Ysabel, who previously announced that he wants to attend college in person. At the time, he claimed concern about “breathing the same air” as the kids on campus.

Christine discovers that Kody has decided to leave the family to help a friend officiate his wedding. The mother-of-six revealed that her decision left her daughters Gwendlyn “crazy” and Ysabel “heartbroken”.
Christine revealed that the 19-year-old asked how her father could agree to officiate the marriage but neglected to accompany her during her previous surgery and recovery. Kody claimed that even though Ysabel’s situation would have kept him out of fines for weeks, the wedding was only four days away.
Christine, however, feels much differently than Kody about the situation. The reality star said, through Many people, “What the hell? You think you can go officiate at your friend’s wedding and not take care of your own family?”
“I don’t have to deal with him anymore because I’m not married to him,” she continued, “I’m so glad I can’t respect this person anymore. Who he is and the choices he’s made, I can’t respect this man.”
