Christine Brown’s exit from polygamy comes with new experiences, including her newfound independence.
The “Sister Wives” star, who split from Kody Brown in 2021, has moved on with a new husband and admits the idea of plural marriage may not be easy for everyone to handle.
Christine Brown Stronger Than Ever In New Marriage
Christine dropped a major life update yesterday for her fans, including a discovery she made less than two months into her new marriage.
The reality star looks stunning in a pink blouse as she poses with beautiful rocky scenery and blue skies in the new post. She teamed her look with dark sunglasses and let her blonde hair sweep over her shoulders, adding the caption:
“I always worry that I will lose my independence in monogamy. I realized the other day, married to the right person (David for me!) that I am more independent than ever! #strongwoman#independent#strongerthan#blessed.”
Her fans rushed to the comments section to pay the TLC star adoring compliments, with one fan commenting, “Looking so happy,” and another adding, “You honestly look 10 years younger!!!” Another fan emphasized how “happy” they are for the new couple, as David himself released a loving comment:
“I underwent surgery last Friday. I have never been taken care of like Christine once did for me. I have the best wife and soul mate anyone could have. She is an angel I love you so much Christine Woolley!”
Christine’s Instagram caption comes as no surprise as she previously admitted to her sister’s ex-wife, Janelle Brown, that polygamy was not a viable arrangement for her. In his words:
“I think if people want to live [plural marriage], all right. But I just, to be honest with you, I don’t see it as a great family structure and I really have a hard time with it, but I think when a man finds the love of his life, other women will— .”
Christine added that she was frustrated by her experience with polygamy, and that the breaking point came when Kody cut ties with his children and stopped being a good parent.
The 51-year-old, who comes from a long line of polygamists, became Kody’s third wife in March 1994. However, she broke the streak in 2021 by becoming the first of three women to come out of a plural marriage, leaving Kody with only one wife, Robyn Brown.
The mother-of-six then announced that she was meeting David on Valentine’s Day this year and got engaged two months later. Christine and David walked down the aisle last month in a fairytale wedding at Moab’s Red Cliffs Lodge in Utah, in front of 330 guests, including Janelle.
The Blast shared that the wedding was planned by Danielle Rothweiler and featured a boat cruise down the Colorado River.

David and Christine embarked on an adventurous honeymoon after their wedding, and the reality star was generous with photos from their trip. This trip seemed to be a second honeymoon destination as their first stop was at Disneyland.
The mother of six posed with her husband for dinner in a cabin with a stunning view of the sea and sky. Christine opted for a floral sleeveless blouse with super shorts that showed off her white shoes and styled her hair in a messy ponytail.
David was simple in a blue shirt, loose beige shorts, dark brown loafers and a happy smile. He leans against a large rock for the second slide in a goofy pose and is flanked by a large framed painting in the background.
The last slide shows a picture of them hugging each other on the ship’s deck with a closer view of the waves and sunset. Christine looked dapper in a floor-length floral dress paired with black shoes as she leaned in for a forehead kiss from beau David, who opted for a patterned shirt, black trousers and black shoes combo.
