‘Sister Wives’ Fans Quiz Meri Brown About ‘Misdirecting Anger At Christine’

The drama surrounding Meri Brown’s court situation continues, with fans pondering the hot topic!

Viewers of TLC’s “Sister Wives” series called out the bed and breakfast owner on social media following her upset reaction to the revelation of her melted wedding ring.

The tea was spilled by ex-wife Christine Brown, who Meri believes shouldn’t be involved in her issues with their ex-husband, Kody Brown.

Fans Advise Meri Brown To Hold Her Ex-Husband Responsible Instead Of Blaming Christine Brown

In a special One-on-One with Sukanya Krishnan, Christine admits she’s not sure if it’s her place to share what happened to Kody and Meri’s wedding rings. However, the mother of six still shared the story, prompting her “Sister Wives” co-stars to pounce on her for invading her privacy.

While the hospitality business owner believes he has every right to be upset with Christine’s actions, fans of the TLC series disagree. These viewers shared their thoughts in the comments section of the TV personality’s “Friday With Friends” segment on Instagram.

Many stated that the tension between the ex-wives was unnecessary and urged Meri to direct her anger at the man responsible for melting her wedding ring. One user called out the founders of Lizzie’s Heritage Inn, writing:

“Misdirected anger at Christine will not help anything. Everyone in the family at that point was involved in the situation around the ring… even if it specifically affected you… the person to blame is the person who created the situation in the first place, and it certainly wasn’t Christine.”

Another viewer echoed similar sentiments about Meri’s misplaced anger, saying: “I can’t believe you’re mad at Christine for bringing up the story, yet you kissed a- Kody for another 10 years, and he’s the one who melted your ring. … direct your anger at the right people yourself and Kody. You get angry at the stupidest things.”

“Ok– I’ve never responded to anything online, but the anger on your face towards Christine is out of control. Christine was asked about the ring and told the truth! After everything that happened, this is what made you turn red with anger?” A third commenter wondered, adding:

“Christine was asked and honest. You need to relax and realize Kody is the one you should be mad at. I don’t understand your anger at being displaced. It is odd. Good luck; this is crazy!”

“Putting anger on Christine (not Kody) over the court situation. At this point, get over it or girl, see a therapist,” one person advised, with another Christine supporter saying: “You’re dirty Kody, not Christine. Stop protecting him! He said he never loved you.”

Despite public cries for Meri to realize she needs to hold Kody responsible for the drama and not Christine, one fan understands the innkeeper’s perspective. This individual stated the way the story was revealed was incorrect but did not support Meri’s anger. Commenter wrote:

“Christine shouldn’t have told your story, Meri & I’m sorry for that; however, you shouldn’t expect anything less from someone you attack/don’t support for leaving a man who clearly doesn’t love her. Just to face the same reality myself.”

Not everyone shared this viewer’s opinion, as one social media user claimed Meri was the first to share the story of the ring. The fan claimed, “This is old news, Meri. You tell your fake lover about the ring first. You’re just hurt by being raised in stories—everything.”

Drama Meltdown Inside The Ring Between Meri, Christine & Kody

The drama began on the latest episode of TLC’s “One-on-One” special with Sukanya Krishnan, where Christine shared Meri’s reaction to Kody melting their wedding ring. Recalling what happened, the mother of six said:

“Well, Meri found out, she was like, ‘Well, where’s my ring? You don’t use it anymore. He was like, ‘Oh, I melted it,’ just like that.”

Christine added that Kody’s “hurtful” decision led them (all wives) to buy the family Claddagh ring together, an accessory that symbolizes love, loyalty and friendship. As noted, Meri disliked her co-star’s input on her personal matters and resented Plexus’ influence in the one-on-one sessions.

“He can laugh about all he wants, but it’s not his business to tell. If I wanted to share the story of the past 13 years publicly, I would have,” the mother-of-one wailed, visibly frustrated by Christine’s indifferent memory.

Additionally, Meri linked the ring melting moment to the end of her marriage to Kody, adding, “Who’s to say he didn’t just melt our whole relationship at that time? Symbolically, that’s what he did to me.”
