American TV personality and reality star, Kody Brown revealed that there was a time when a kind gesture from his estranged wife, Meri Brown, made him consider reconciling.
Kody is best known for his role on the TLC reality series “Sister Wives,” which documents his life with his four wives, Robyn, Christine, Meri and Janelle Brown, and the children they have together.
After 32 years of marriage, the two decided to divorce, with Meri claiming Kody did not consult with her before making the decision. Kody also revealed that Christine, the first wife to leave their polygamous family, was not happy with the idea of him settling things with Meri.

“When we moved to Flagstaff, Arizona, I tried to make peace with Meri,” he claimed during Part 1 of their “One-on-One” special.
“Meri gave me this really great gift, and I’m in this place, telling Janelle, Christine, and Robyn that I might make up with Meri,” the patriarch added.

The TLC star revealed that the gift was a batch of homemade Rice Krispies Treats that he gave her for their 30th wedding anniversary.
“He put a bag full of them. One for each year of our marriage. He also included our bad years,” he said Us Weekly. “That phrase is sweet, and the mood I’m in is the right mood to try and think about reconciliation. It’s not what happened.”
He confessed, “I am no longer angry with him for what I went through in my life with him. I’m willing to see the error of my ways and then work to determine if we’re good for each other again.”
Meri Brown Tries To Rekindle The Fire In Her Dying Marriage
When commenting on what the gift meant to her ex-husband, Meri said she had no idea the gift left an impact on Kody.
“It’s interesting that he feels that way. Because that was also the same day we went out for a picnic and he said, ‘No, you should have proposed to me,’ he said. “I said, ‘Kody, I’ve been waiting for you,’ and he was like, ‘I’m not coming.'”
He later revealed that he is trying to reconnect with his estranged partner during their 2020 anniversary.
“After I turned off my camera, I hugged her. On his neck and I said, ‘What would you do if I just kissed you right now? Meri narrated to the TLC “tell-all” host Sukanya Krishnan per Us Weekly.
“He is physically straight as a board. And he backed up. He was like, ‘I can’t do that.'”
He went on to add, “It makes me feel good that he’s considering it, but it doesn’t last until the evening, I guess.”
Christine Brown Allegedly Doesn’t Support Kody’s Idea of Fixing Things With Meri

Kody revealed that after talking to Christine about the idea of working things out with Meri, she took it personally, even lashing out at her.
He once accused Christine, who he split from in 2021, of being a “game player” during their marriage and throwing “tantrums”.
“At first, my issue was, I thought Christine was playing a game,” Kody, 53, said, adding that he wasn’t sure. “Since we got married, there has been manipulation. Sulking. hot temper Just a matter of behavior.”
As for revealing plans to reconcile with Meri to Christine, he states that he “lost his shit,” adding that he lashed out at her at a group function.
“He came to the family gathering [that day] and daun yelled at one of the kids that she was in a loveless marriage,” revealed Kody per Us Weekly. He claimed that Christine was angry with him because he was “trying to make peace with Meri” and that Meri and Christine’s relationship was troubled.
Christine responded to the accusation by insisting that Kody was comparing her four relationships, which only exacerbated the tension.
Kody No Longer Considers Himself Married To Meri
As the conversation progresses, Meri explains that Kody didn’t directly tell her about his divorce plans. She revealed that she understood the message after hearing him say that he no longer “considered” himself married to her in their 17th season.
“This last birthday, he was like, ‘I don’t even know why you call me, Meri.’ He was like, ‘We’re not married. We are not acting as husband and wife,’” claimed the reality star. “And I said to him then, ‘If that’s where we’re at, don’t you think we should discuss it openly?'”
She accused Kody of not addressing it head-on, claiming he told her that if they went public, more “judgment” would fall on their extended family.
When asked about the situation, he said through Us Weekly“He’s already made up his mind” that they’ve broken up, stating that he’ll think about reconciliation but isn’t sure Kody’s interested.
