Kody Brown has opened up about feeling insecure in his relationship with his now ex-wife, Meri Brown.
Their love life took a significant turn after they embraced polygamy, and the patriarch of the Brown family added three more wives. After years of seclusion, Meri officially ended their barely-there relationship in the season 18 finale of the family’s TLC show, “Sister Wives.”
Kody Brown Has No Plans To Reunite With Ex-Wife Meri Brown
Amidst the collapse of his plural marriage, Kody has admitted that he no longer feels married to Meri while expressing regret over the decision that contributed to the strain in his relationships with three of his four wives.
In a special “Sister Wives One-on-One” teaser, interviewer Sukanya ‘Suki’ Krishnan asks Kody if he has informed Robyn, his last wife, that he no longer feels married to Meri.

In response, the reality TV star claimed, “Yes, of course Robyn knows where I am.” As the conversation progresses, Kody reveals that while he will “always love” Meri, falling in love with her is a different ball game. In his words:
“I can’t fall in love with him. It’s not safe for me. And when I say that, make of it whatever you want, but I’m telling you, I’m not going to sit here and drive a bus over it because this is pathetic. Really heartbreaking. It didn’t work.”
Another ex-wife, Janelle, also offered some perspective on Robyn’s role in Meri’s relationship with Kody, sharing:
“I think Robyn is really trying to support Meri, for better or for worse. As Robyn, I would never put myself in that position. If Kody can’t talk to Meri alone, then they probably shouldn’t be having any kind of conversation. But I know that Meri called Robyn in. I do not know. It was a bit of a mess for me.”
As for whether Kody is “scared” to share his feelings about Meri with Robyn, the mother of six doesn’t believe that’s the case. Declared that the father of 18 was “very vocal” with her that “there’s no hope of a relationship there. So I don’t think he’s afraid to say that.”
Meanwhile, Meri voices Kody’s reluctance to inform her of his stance on continuing to be apart of his former age. During her own segment on the “One-on-One Special,” the 52-year-old noted that her ex-husband “should have told me because I’m still sitting here holding on to the idea that maybe you’re going to get your head out of your butt.”

On Monday, The Blast reported that Kody revealed that he and Robyn have a much stronger relationship than he did with his previous wife. Despite being married to Meri, Christine, and Janelle before Robyn, he notes that the depth of love he experiences with the mother of five is unmatched. Kody said:
“I’m in love with Robyn, I’ve never been in love with anyone else. I just choose to be in a covenant of love with them. I met Robyn, and there was a safety and a vulnerability that I had never experienced in my life. And I met him, and I started crying for joy and didn’t stop for months.”
Kody’s confession seems to shock Robyn, who admits that she “tries her best” to hide her true feelings for her man from other women. According to the 45-year-old, he consistently “suppressed and hid” his relationship with the 54-year-old because he didn’t want to hurt his ex-sister-wife with him.
Still, some of the sister’s wives are perceptive, as Meri insists that Kody and Robyn have always shared a “soul connection,” and that she has truly found happiness with him.
