A Six Flags employee died after he fell from a moving van and hit his head on the sidewalk while working at the Georgia Fright Fest park Sunday, according to officials and reports.
The employee, married mother of three Andrea Crook, was a passenger in a Ford Econoline van traveling on a dedicated staff road at the Six Flags Over Georgia park when she was suddenly “kicked out” from the back of a vehicle carrying five adults. and two minors were on duty, police said, according to WAGA.
“It’s a cargo van, so there are no seats in the back. At one point, while maneuvering in the park, one of the passengers was ejected from the van and suffered severe head trauma,” said Cobb County Police Sgt. Wayne Delk told the station.
The 43-year-old man fell from the back door of the van as it went uphill and was rushed to a local hospital where he died.

A Six Flags employee told WAGA anonymously that the actors who work Fright Fest “are always transported in a van because they don’t want the actors to make up through different parts of the park, so they go behind the scenes.”
Six Flags Over Georgia President Dave Zellner said staff were “saddened” by Crook’s death.
“Our hearts and thoughts go out to the families of the workers and those affected by this tragic car accident,” he said in a statement, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Investigators are looking at a number of different factors to determine what charges are appropriate, but yes there is definitely potential to be charged,” said Delk, the Cobb County sergeant, according to WAGA.
