Skid loader driver goes on wild rampage, accused of attacking officer, damaging cars

A skid loader driver was arrested in Nebraska after two rampages in a snow-filled parking lot where he damaged cars and crashed into a police vehicle that was trying to stop him.

The wild scene began in the parking lot of a U-Stop convenience store in Lincoln on Sunday afternoon where Samuel Peyrot, 36, was observed “damaging vehicles with the machine,” police said in a press release.

The brazen driver then took his front-end loader down the road to Home Depot, where witnesses took footage as Peyrot’s path of destruction continued.

At one point a police SUV with sirens attempted to pull over a skid loader, and Peyrot was seen moving around the police car before crashing into the police vehicle’s passenger door.

“Get out of the car now! Don’t move!,” an officer ordered, pointing his weapon at the driver, according to the footage.

More officers eventually arrived at the scene and arrested the reckless suspect, according to police and bystander footage.

Peyrot was charged with second-degree assault on an officer, second-degree assault and criminal mischief, police said.

Multiple vehicles and the exterior of two businesses were damaged during the rampage, and a man inside one of the targeted vehicles suffered minor injuries, according to police.
