This is not a scene from a Samuel L. Jackson action movie.
A viral TikTok video filmed on a Thai AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket last weekend shows a small, slender snake crawling on top of a trash can.
The discovery of the aircrew crawling through the air jolted the passengers, prompting those seated closest to the uninvited traveler to leave immediately.
Others wasted no time pulling out their phones to film the reptile inside AirAsia Flght FD3015 as it prepared to land at its destination Saturday, as seen in a clip shared by an online user with the handle @wannabnailssalon, which has reached more than 3.4 million spectacle.
Mobile phone footage which has been doing the rounds on social media shows a male flight attendant calmly trying to nudge the snake into an empty plastic water bottle, but the creature slithers away.
The composed cabin crew members then changed nails and used bottles to push the snake into an empty plastic bag.
The snake was then kept safely in a closet until the plane landed, according to local media. It was later reportedly identified as a Blanford’s bridle snake, which is a non-venomous species.

It was not immediately known how the snake ended up on the plane.

The incident has drawn comparisons to the 2006 action film “Snakes On A Plane,” in which an assassin unleashes a crate of venomous snakes on a flight in an attempt to kill a trial witness transported by an FBI agent played by Samuel L. Jackson, who utters the immortal line : “I’ve had it with this moherf—snake on this mother plane!”
This is not the first time a scaly traveler has been spotted on an AirAsia flight.
In February 2022, a spotted python was filmed slithering through a light fixture on a plane flying from the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to Sabah, causing the flight to be diverted to a different airport.
