An upscale New York landlord was arrested for trying to persuade a prospective tenant to pose nude in exchange for an upgrade in a new apartment listing, state police said.
John Daly, 58, was charged with third-degree coercion after police say he tried to convince Keri Chew to strip in exchange for a better shot at a new pad at his Washington County building, police said Tuesday.
“Daly advised me that there was a long ‘waiting list’ for potential tenants to rent the apartment,” Chew said in a police statement reviewed by The Post Star.

“Daly then told me that if I wanted to be moved to the front list and come in today, he ‘expected’ me to be naked and allow him to take my picture,” he said.
State troopers were called to the Dresden, New York, building around 4pm on November 1st on reports of a dispute.
Daly was charged with a misdemeanor after police interviewed Chew at the scene and he told troopers about the landlord’s shady deals, state police said in a news release.

He faces up to a year in prison if convicted.
According to the Post Star, Daly owns hundreds of properties in Washington and Warren counties.
