Sneh’s father’s name is Late. Bhagwan Singh Rana, a farmer. His father died in 2021 before Sneh made his debut as an international cricketer. In an interview, he talked about his father and said,

I lost my father two months ago. It was a difficult and emotional moment for me because he wanted to see me play for India. But unfortunately, he couldn’t. Whatever I will do now, I will dedicate everything to him.”

His mother’s name is Vimla Rana. He has an older sister, Ruchi Rana. In an interview, Sneh said that his family has supported him in his journey to become a cricketer.

Sneh made his ODI debut on 19 January 2014 against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam. He made his test debut on 16 June 2021 against England at Bristol, where he scored 80 runs off 154 balls. He made his T20 debut on 26 January 2014 against Sri Lanka in Vizianagaram. In February 2023, Gujarat Giants bought him for Rs 75 lakh in the inaugural WPL auction.

In an interview, her sister Ruchi said Sneh used to play cricket with boys and behaved like a tomboy when she was younger. When his father saw him playing cricket with the boys, he enrolled him in the Junior Teachers’ Academy, Dehradun.
  • While Sneh practices cricket on the ground, she always carries English and Maths books with her and teaches other girls on the field.
  • Sneh used to play cricket in Uttrakhand when he was young, but there was no cricket association in Uttrakhand, so he went to play in Haryana. He played U-19 in Haryana, and later he became a part of the Punjab cricket team.

So, I hope, I have been able to inspire someone today with this. I don’t think anyone should give up.”

He’s someone who can play in critical situations, and that’s what we need right now. When big tournaments and big series come around, we need players of that calibre, who can take the pressure.”
