Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has lost another member of his family — his brother Bing Worthington.
The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper confirmed the heartbreaking news with a series of social media posts, recalling some of the memories he shared with the deceased. Worthington died at the age of 44, three years after their mother died of an undisclosed health problem.

While the week usually ends with people screaming TGIF, for Snoop, it’s not a cause for celebration but mourning. She announced her brother’s death on Instagram, with her first post capturing the pair posing in a dressing room.
The rapper did not express his sadness in words but used a series of emojis to explain the situation to fans. She also shared a photo of Worthington posing with a cake next to their late mother, Beverly Tate. “bac wit momma,” she captioned the post, adding more emojis.
Words are not needed to show Snoop’s heartbreak, and his message reached his followers. Fans and celebrities offered their condolences, with actor Tyrese Gibson writing: “Stay strong bro…. I’m sorry this happened…. Prayers, love, and light for you and your family….”
Betty Wright’s daughter, Aisha McCray, echoed similar sentiments, stating: “I’m sorry. He always spoke very highly of his son. May they both rest in peace ❤.” Singer Tamar Braxton shared: “??? sorry for the loss of your brother.”
One fan wrote: “I’m so sorry for the loss of your brother. He has been united in heaven with your mother. As noted, Worthington’s death comes three years after Snoop’s mother died of an undisclosed health issue in October 2021 and was buried the following month. The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper shared photos from the funeral on Instagram, showing his loved ones wearing all red to celebrate Beverly’s life.
The legendary rapper held a graveside memorial for his mother in Inglewood, California, with several images of her holding her two younger brothers.
Another set of photos showed people gathering to lay Beverly to rest with the simple caption, “Thanks mom.” Before his death, the entertainer told fans about his struggle in the hospital.
One of the updates was a photo of the family by Beverly’s side with the message: “Happy Sunday. My brothers and I went to see mama today, and she opened her eyes to see us and told us she was still fighting.”
Although she didn’t share the medical condition her mother was battling, her update seemed to hint that she was battling deep and unconscious. Unfortunately, Beverly lost the battle after struggling for three months in the hospital.
Snoop announced his death at the age of 70 in an emotional post, with an image of him hugging his mother and the caption: Mama, thank you for having me. Thank you, God, for giving me an angel for a mother.

A few weeks before losing his brother, “What’s My Name?” rapper made headlines for his legal battle with Walmart. He is suing the popular grocery chain for allegedly sabotaging sales of his “Snoop Cereal” brand, a claim the other party vehemently denies.
Last week, a representative for Walmart denied the allegations in a statement, claiming: “Walmart values our relationships with our suppliers, and we have a strong history of supporting entrepreneurs. Many factors affect sales of any given product, including consumer demand, seasonality and price, to name a few.
Walmart promised to respond “as appropriate to the Court” once served with the complaint. Meanwhile, Snoop’s lawyer, Ben Crump, revealed they are planning a lawsuit against the retail corporation and Post Foods for negatively affecting the rapper’s sales.
Crump claims Walmart allegedly prevented “Snoop Cereal” from being placed on store shelves, while Post Foods used “deceptive practices” to sabotage its customers’ cereal brands. The lawsuit is a joint effort between Snoop and Master P, co-founder of Broadus Foods.
