In a follow-up, Cori posted a photo of a “welcome home” banner in what appeared to be a living room. The singer previously updated her fans with some positive news earlier this week when she told them she “might” be able to return home within the next 24 hours.

The “Sittin’ In My Room” artist looked healthy and cheerful in her hospital gown, giving the camera a thumbs up in one pose and pouting in another. Across from a cute collage of bathroom selfies, Cori wrote, “God is working overtime, you heard me! My kidneys are really bad… the doctor came this morning and said it’s getting better ?.”

Cori has battled lupus since the age of six, which led to several hospital incidents. In 2021, he had a suicide attempt, which he discussed openly in an emotional Instagram post, writing:

“The last few weeks, mentally I haven’t been great. At one point, I tried to end my life, but you & my family really gave me a purpose to live & helped me realize life is more than materialistic & you have to keep working through the b——. THANK YOU.”

Cori Rejected Her Lupus Medication To Focus On Healing Through Holistic Treatment

The last time Cori spoke about her health was in September 2023, when she detailed improvements after using a holistic approach.

“I’ve gotten better, better than I’ve ever been. I stopped taking all my meds like five months ago. I just do everything naturally, all kinds of herbs, seaweed, tea,” he shared in the interview.

The “Reincarnated” actor revealed that he “started exercising, drinking a lot of water,” which made his body adapt to the “new program.” According to Cori, she opted for a holistic approach after long-term medication use left her “feeling like I was going crazy.” In his words:

“I have been on medication since I was 6 years old, dependent on these medications my whole life. So I want something better for myself. I want to change because it just becomes a lot. I am only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills daily. So I’m a bit cold turkey.”

Despite the significant progress achieved through holistic methods, Cori admits that more lifestyle changes are needed to improve her health. He then emphasized that it is a constant learning journey while acknowledging the challenges of poor eating habits and insufficient rest.

He concluded by stating that while complete health improvement was not possible, he remained committed to daily improvement rather than becoming overwhelmed.

“I have days where I’m sick, but I’m still blessed and able to do what I love to do and tell my story. But then there are days I’m like, ‘Wow, I wish I wasn’t sick. What would my life be like if I was just an ordinary girl?’ It’s part of being human. You’re going to have bad days, you’re not always going to have good days.”
