According to the official summary of the upcoming Snow season,

“Civil war threatens to destroy the Saint family in the sixth and final season of FX’s Snow.”

It continues,

“Franklin (Damson Idris) is faced with losing everyone he loves and everything he’s created, and getting through it will require outwitting the KGB, DEA and CIA, as well as dodging the LAPD’s corrupt CRASH unit. When everyone’s back is against the wall, who are they to stand up?”

Series co-creator and executive producer Dave Andron called the show’s last season “shocking and emotional” in an interview with TVLine. He also commented on Damson Idris’ role as Franklin Saint, saying:

“He has to survive. There are always risks to what he does, but he has to go after the CIA and Teddy to get his money back. The stakes are very high. She is expecting a child. He’s ready, and we need to know who he is and what he’s ready to do to find out.”

He went on to say,

“I believe we ended up telling the story in a way that was really unexpected and inevitable. It was really emotional, and I believe it was quite satisfying, which is what he wanted. I think he will be satisfied with where we ended up. “
