Sofia Richie Flaunts Baby Bump & Reveals Baby’s Gender [PHOTOS]

Sofia Richie is going to be a mom!

Just nine months after walking down the aisle with the love of her life, Elliot Grainge, daughter of Lionel Richie, is expecting her first child and is giving her beloved fans their first look at her big baby bump!

Sofia Richie Reveals The Gender Of The Unborn Baby

Sofia shared the exciting news of her pregnancy in a shoot with Vogue Magazine. The soon-to-be mum showed off her pregnancy glow as her growing baby bump came into focus in the black-and-white photo which saw her wearing an oversized button-down shirt with underwear.

In another snap, the fashion icon opted for a long velvet red coat which she unbuttoned to reveal her baby bump. While speaking to the publication, Sofia stated that she found out she was pregnant “very early.” He explains:

“I’m about four weeks pregnant. I was on my way to Milan for fashion week, and I went to the Prada show. I did a very quick 24 hour recovery, and I felt awful but didn’t think too much of it. I thought it was jet lag.”

Upon returning to Los Angeles, Sofia was prepared to attend an Ed Sheeran concert with her husband and friends but chose to take a pregnancy test first because it was supposed to be a “drunk night”, and she wanted to be “safe”.

“Elliot is used to me taking random tests,” he explained. “So, he didn’t flinch when I said I was checking. I took one of those really bad at-home tests, and there was the faintest of lines. I’m so used to seeing negative things that I know when things look different.”

As for her husband’s reaction to the happy news since they’ve been trying since tying the knot, Sofia revealed, “When he comes home, he’s sweet and always wants to protect my emotions and expectations, so he kind of puts me down. and said, ‘If this is negative, don’t be upset. Our time will come.’ When we submitted all three tests at the same time they were all positive. He was so excited, and we both cried. It’s crazy and exhilarating and it’s really hard not to shout it from the rooftops.”

Regarding the details of the gender of her unborn child, Sofia admitted that she and Grainge are expecting a baby! “He developed quite quickly, so [the due date] quite a wind up,” the excited mother revealed.

Giving details about the gender reveal, the “Ocean’s Eight” star revealed, “I love YouTube and TikToks—even before I talked about pregnancy—gender reveals, so we texted the OB to my assistant Becca [our baby’s gender], and we bought two party poppers: one blue, one pink. He left the one with the right color inside, and Elliot and I put it in together. We both really thought it was a boy, so it was a real surprise. My dream in life is to have a daughter [though], and Elliot is thrilled for a girl too. I think it’s typical of a boy to be a boy, but he has many younger sisters. It’s really sweet. He is very sensitive.”
