In 2014, he and his friend Nicole Concessao started a dance company ‘Team Naach’ which teaches various dance forms like Bollywood, hip hop, belly fusion, classical fusion and freestyle to students in India as well as abroad. The first class they took was only 20 students. In 2007, Nicole and Sonal met in college and became friends as they were part of the same dance team. After their graduation, they pursued their own careers, but their passion for dance brought them together and they decided to start Team Naach. He used to take classes with Nicole at the studio twice a week, but not many students got along with them.

Their first video of the song Muqabala went viral on social media and they became very famous. Many students joined them through social media and started learning Kathak, hip hop, and belly dancing. In an interview, he talked about this and said,
There was a new studio opening in Khar, Mumbai and since we both love to dance, we decided to teach classes on impulse. To get students interested, we posted songs on our Facebook page. We presented Prabhudeva’s Muqabala in HipHop, Kathak and bellydance and got a lot of love online from our friends and juniors in college. That marks our entry into the world of online dance.”
Sonal and Nicole run a YouTube channel called ‘Team Naach’ which has over four million subscribers.
