The shocking divorce between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner took another dramatic turn.
Turner has released new information as she and Jonas are embroiled in a custody battle over their two children. The estranged couple tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony at Chapel L’Amour in Las Vegas on May 1, 2019, after the “Billboard Music Awards.”

The “Game of Thrones” actor revealed to the court that Jonas had plans to move the family to England full time.
Per Page Six, Turner submitted a letter written by Jonas on June 16 convincing a homeowner to let him buy their home in Wallingford, Oxford. The contents of the letter, written just three months before the “This Is Me” singer filed for divorce, include:
“When my wife and I decided we were going to spend more time in the UK and looking for a permanent home, our daughter expressed three unequivocal needs: to have chickens, a pony, and Wendy’s house,
He continued that as they inspected many houses, the “charming blue shutters” and “beautiful walled garden” of this particular house caught their attention (Turner & Jonas). The 3rd trio of “The Jonas Brothers” also added that he shared his love for the house with his former father-in-law, who admired the vegetable garden.

The homeowner reportedly accepted the couple’s offer as they put down a 10% deposit of $914,130 on the property on July 7. Jonas also allegedly sent a text message to one of Turner’s sisters-in-law about officially owning the house in the UK, with the sale to be finalized on Dec. 2.
Turner also revealed that they talked extensively about moving to the UK in 2022 before leaving their home in Miami on March 10. The actress also claimed that they moved most of their belongings to the UK between May 5 and July 31.
However, The Blast recently reported that they kept their children out of the messy drama and even agreed to keep their two daughters in New York despite Turner appearing in federal court the previous week.
The “Dark Phoenix” actress initially invoked child abduction laws amid Jonas’ alleged refusal to hand over the child’s passport. He also demanded the “Hesitate” singer return the children to England, but a temporary consent order has prevented the two parties from moving them out of New York.

According to court documents, the children must remain in the Southern or Eastern District of New York covering NYC, the Hudson Valley and Long Island.
